Idk if you know this, but a lower trap speed with a lower e/t means you're a better driver. you're 97mph trap means you should have hit a 13. better luck next time.

another thing, with the GM charger, once air starts going by it and cools it down it becomes more efficient, thus making more power.

What did you expect? Yes its good for a Cav to hit 14.0 n/a but other cars like Hondas have been running 14s, 13s, 12s, 11s and 10s all motor for years. I think one major thing those guys are considering is that its mentioned as a "swap", it may have a motor swap but it was swapped in a motor that could have come stock in that car. When Honda guys hear the term "swap" they think about motors that have literally twice the hp that the motor did that came in the car, i doubt they realize that this swap is just another Cavalier motor offered in the same chassis stock which really shouldn't be looked at as a swap.

and skilz, you are completely right!! they have a N/A Swap with stronger motors, plus hondas are like paperweights... if we get a NA corvette engine in a cavy it would be fast. congrats, that means nothing!! eco in hitting 14.0 N/A is impressive, congrats skwirl!

You should have mentioned that your motor really shouldn't even be considered a swap at all since it was standard in every 03, 04 and 05 Cavalier and Sunfire.

methinks you're thinking of stampflee.... pj's just on drag radials (stickier than standard street rubber but not nearly as sticky as "slicks") and he had no weight reduction besides taking the spare tire out..... he's just 115 lbs lol. The 2.0 60' on walmart rubber he mentioned were pre-headswap, when he literally had a pair of $40 tires on the front.

And of course thats the response your going to get from any forum , any forum at all ... Everyone thinks what they drive is better then what everyone else drives, and SRT4 owners to boot. 90% of them think they own the ground you walk on because they can run 13s stock.
It doesn't impress me that they can do that STOCK, because your average joe can buy it and run it, but you did all the work to your car yourself, and did the time, money , research , trial and error ... etc . Other people aren't going to see or appreciate that , unless they know the facts , and/or are TRUE CAR people.

Not to be a prick here ... BUT , uhm , the SRT4 whole sceme selling was the fastest car UNDER 20g's , and you can pick a used one up for 12,500 ...
So the pricerange your thinking of is a bit lengthened ...
yea thats tru and a used cavalier is about 8 grand, throw boost on it for 2 grand thats 10 right there, and still faster than the srt4

. and that two grand incoporates not only boost parts but also boost accessories If you know how to shop for parts....
once theres a turbo on it then ppl will have a whole new set of excuses but to be honest where are all these 13 sec NA hondas, i havent seen them at the track and if they are they are gutted hatches weighing 2000 lbs and not even close to a car you could drive on the street

The reason I'm "not impressed" is because obviously a higher revving motor with forged internals and higher compression in a car that weighs 600lbs lighter than mine is going to be faster.
to be honest, I don't think I'm that much slower than other hondas with my same mods.. I wouldn't be surprised if I am about a half second behind or so but regardless, my times and performance aren't that lackluster compared to other cars with the same modifications

every1 talks so much crap about pj. This kid is all motor why doesnt everyone understand that! lol. ooo yea thats so slow blah blah blah if he boosted he'd @!#$ all over those cars. If you went 13 psi for 13 psi he'd merk all over wrx's, 1.8t's Srt4's...the list is endless.
