Too bad it's the bottom end that goes...no amount of top-end work will make your engine more reliable (actually, stiffer springs on stock hydraulic lifters may make it less reliable...). At the least, invest in a 90-93 oil pump.

ya well Next summer with the new head installed I'm only running 8 psi for the season ... I need the block and everything to stay intact for that long till I get the money together for the bottom end.......... 8 psi will be fine with the good tuning I can get .......
I'm not worried... I ran 11psi on my car for a week before it went away ... with no problems AT ALL.... the car ran GREAT.
so I'll just get a good tune again and sit at 8 psi daily next summer...... my oiling system is fine for now .... that will be dealt with next year... when I doing the timing chain stuff and send the block out ..... larger oil passages... etc...

Famous last words. Personally, my car ran f'n awesome...up until it blew.

Yeah, that guy who just lost his built 2.2L in the boosted forum thought his oiling system was fine too...now the forged bottom end may be scrap...
Also, I wouldn't call your tune 'good' by any means. 'better than average' okay, but not 'good'
