Does anyone have any pics or ideas of where to mount the cutoff switch for a trunk mounted battery? I dont want it to be an eye sore. I have contemplated mounting it behind the licence plate somehow.

make a hinged flip down panel that tucks up nicely behind the lower portion of the back bumper. this way ur car can never get stolen if you have the switched turned off and its tucked up! LOL unless its an inside job in which case they would know where it is...
If it takes forever.... I will die trying. Underdog Racing

Hmmm that is a good idea.

ask Misnblu, he did one recently..although his IS in a eyesore locationl

i read his writeup and understand how to do it just not sure where to hide it

I lik how that looks, maybe I can paint the one I have black and then take the silver handle off when not being used.

i believe it has to be labeled on/off.
mine will probably go behind the rear license plate. i just plan on getting a flip down holder or just putting it on when i race.

the way my switch is I could remove the on/off pretty easily.

I don't know about your system and I don't have one but what if you could put it in the location of the trunk lock cylinder? That way it would look like its part of the trunk and you wouldn't have to do any exterior work.
I accidentally the SHIFT LIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
The proper way of using the word seen. It is not I seen it that would be I saw it. He has seen the car is the right way to use the word. English class is Cool. By the way thats my sig

That was an idea I also had

The one I have is a 4 post design and the switch knob is held on by a screw. it seems pretty heavy duty. I can't remember the brand off the top of my head tho.

The one I posted was just a example

But thanks for some of the info guys. Il have to look into it a little further when time comes to mount one of these.

If you get a chance to post a pic or link to the one you have id appreciate it.
The idea of putting it where the trunk lock is sounds interesting, never thought of that before
