i think it looks awhole better off. took mine off. plus its weight u dont need on it:] just my 2 cents
It's pretty much non-functional anyway...rip it off altogether and solve the problem for free
In order to take it off, you would have to fill like 30 holes, and get most of your car painted. Buy some of the clips at a dealership, and some 3M double sided tape at a craft store, or a high quality mounting tape for outdoor use. Get creative, and DONT USE GLUE! It wont work, as you have noticed.

Last time I checked, they are held on by double sided tape, not clips.
Yeah I'm working on removing mine, no clips. Just nasty glue stuff.

McManus is correct.
All 1995 - 2002 Sunfire GTs & 2003 - 2005 Sunfire Coupes have side skirts and door panels that are attached with 16 plugs on each side. This means if you want to remove them you will either need to get doors without holes (although you will still have a few holes in the fenders and quarter panels) or you will need to weld 16 holes on each side shut.
All 1995 - 2002 Sunfire SE Coupes and Sedans (and 2003 - 2005 Sunfire Sedans [Canada only]) have side moldings which are only attached with double sided tape and can be easily removed without any welding.

If I only lived in Canada...
As of right now, I plan on keeping it on, just removing it, repainting it (dam paint chips), and fixing the clip.
