I have seen a few 03-05 Cavi's around here with color key tail lights (trunk bezel) like the 00-04 Impala SS. Anyone know where I can find these?
Custom made. They take their stock one and get it painted.

I just did that myself in a few hours! It was pretty easy! But after a year or so the clear started to ship and peel near the top of it so when the car gets repainted so will the rear lights only this time with a real spray gun and not a rattle can...

that was veryyy sarcastic LOL
There hasn't been an SS man. The "SS" is just the dealer version, usually of an LS, with extra stuff like a bodykit, spoiler, and SS badges to catch your attention.

It's a pity that "SS" became little more than stickers and "pretty" add ons. Why couldn't they have made an actual SS Cavalier and done something right for once? You know, with a big V6 shoehorned into it or something. It's not like they don't have the technology to do it, lord knows enough of our JBO members have V6 3rd gens.

That's why it was there! lol I put it on to catch the attention of kids when the car was for sale. Now that the car has the RKSport lip kit and a few other little things like the color matched door handle surrounds and a black suede headliner it's a little better fitting for the name. Like a few of you said even when Chevy does a true SS on a car it's not like they change much... It has some basic performance stuff done to it but it's going to go up for sale soon again and I'll be putting real SS emblems on it in the same place the Cobalt has them to see if some kid will take interest in it! I know it's deveous but if they ask I'll at least tell the truth which is better than most dealers...
