my driver door is hanging down a tad and is not hitting the latch properly... so i went to gm and purchased to brand new door hindges for it.
just by looking at it, it def. looks like a project...
wondering if anybody has done this before and how hard it really is to acomplish? id really like to avoid having to take the fender OR the door off, too me i think i may be able to just take one off at a time and do it that way with just the door wide open.
anybody know if it will just be that simple or am i going to need to take half the car off to get to them?

My buddy did it with everything together, just the right wrenches, 3 13mm bolts/1 13mm nut I believe and you should be golden, just support the door when it's open. Believe he used a jackstand and a towel to protect the paint.

sounds like a plan to me. did he say if it was a major PITA or not?

how much was that hinge? i need one for my pass side still :X

honestly, your easiest way to do it is..............
tape your door all the way around in place where you want it to sit. remove the fender, and unbolt the hinges. door will stay in place if taped good. replace hinges then put fender back on...done
easiest way to not have to deal with alot of positioning and scraping

What he said... that would be the easier way... unless you like dealing with aligning the door, which can be a real big pita

well, i plan on doing one hindge at a time and supporting the door while i do it. this way i think it should stay where it needs to.
