Your selling this hood with eyelids, I know u guys have atleast access to 1 cavy 4dr.. i want to see the actual hood on a cavy.. not a chop.. im interested in how this actually looks. I'm surprised, if u pulled it off like you said you havent showed it off yet.. i wanna see this man. you had me interested but i had bet u wouldnt be able to pull it off without doing the "hump" over headlights.. if u pulled it off like ur chops.. im interested in seeing it.. And if u selling it on Ebay u should have one already made so it shouldnt be to hard to atleast just snap a picture of it on a car or not..

ill have to agree...show some real pics.

its cool if you want to get some preorders before you make the hood. but you really need to tell any prospective buyers about this. quoting 3-4 weeks for shipping isnt good enough. the same thing goes for the 03+ cav invader hoods that were on there a week or two ago. just let the buyers know that they are still in production or whatever.

also a note about the 95-02 hood: when i still had my biz, i was constantly working with class glass to get new products out for the Js. i would bring my car or a friends car to their shop, give them stock hoods to use in design for new hoods, etc. well one thing we talked about was a hood with eyelids for the cav. bob and mike at CGP both looked into it and decided that it couldnt be done without either modding the headlights (shaving the clear "nipples", possibly redrilling and pushing the lights in) or leaving the "bubble" above the headlights.

now maybe you have found a way around this, but CGP has been in the automotive composites business for a quarter century and decided not to go through with it. and this was during the heyday when i was selling a ton of hoods for them, so they werent afraid of a lack of sales.

but good luck making these hoods. id certainly like to see real pics if you ever do it

probably not. but if someone ends up buying the hood on ebay, he almost has to make it then. either that or keep the money or refund it.

If you look very carefully at the pic, you can see where the clonebrush was used (or something similar), also the passenger side wasn't touched up (I can make out the curve of the actual hood at the top of the headlight)

they said they were going to use the money from the ebay sell to produce the mold. Or thats what I understood from the original postings.

thats what i figured. i still say the buyers should be notified of that fact before they buy. theres a good chance that the production process will take longer than 3-4 weeks. lets say he only gets one sale each week, and needed 5 before he started producing stuff. well thats 5 weeks before its even started much less finished and shipped.

personally i dont see what the problem with just making a mold is. since he does it all in house, its just a matter of mocking up a plug, then making a mold. finding a stock cav hood to work from wont be hard, and hes got the sunfire invader hood he can make a scoop/vent from. put them together then make the mold. its just fiberglass...its not that hard.

I just noticed it says "perfect fitment" ...

Of course it has perfect fitment! The design is still in his mind!

Ahahaha.

Cliff notes version: Be prepared for another bad seller post for not disclosing the added wait time...

If I had the extra cash, I'd order one just to see how long it took to get here (and I don't have a Cav, so it makes no nevermind to me on the wait) but I don't so I can't.

What I normally do is check the feedback and e-mail someone who had bought the same
product that I want and see what they say about it or how long shipping really is..

If you notice media shocks' feedback, there is a guy who bought a hood and installed
it 4 days after the purchase...kinda weird and the other guy installed it 5 days after he purchased it..
Maybe they could send a pic or something.

those are the sunfire invader hoods though. we have actually seen that hood on another member's car. IMO it looks pretty good....but theres really no reason to risk a business' reputation by trying stunts like this. whiteboy has the potential to be a great supplier of J products, as he does them in house and would be able to do much smaller production runs to get something new made.

Hey everyone, this hood on eBay is a Photoshop. The hood is in the plug building process right now, and when someone buys it, we tell them that it is being made and we will have it to them in 3-4 max.

We do not make these hoods in house because we do not have the time to make parts right now, but we deal closely with our supplier in Toronto. It is being made from the same guy who makes our sunfire invader hood.

So yes it is already started and when someone does buy it, they will have it in less then 3-4 weeks.

If anyone has any questions, I am more then willing to answer them for you.

riiiiiiiiiiight... why would you attempt to sell something you dont even have? and what does "3-4 max" mean? i hope you dont mean WEEKS, cuz if you do...thats really retarded. ur setting yourself up for a major fall dood. IMO, you should not have listed it, waited til it was done, posted a ton of pics-on car and off on here... THEN listed it on ebay.

I put it on eBay to see if there is interest before I put money into a mold for it. This will be ready to ship before the new year.

But don't worry when its finished I have 1 person ready with payment and I will get it installed for pictures on my 97 Cavalier and my 00 Cavalier with pictures for everyone.

The downward slants are too straight, they need some curve.
