pics look kinda familiar, hmm.....looks like a photoshop too. seems pretty sketchy to me
* * BIG FOR SALE POST * *
It states it's a fiberglass hood. I'm not going to buy one but that previous thread had a lot of
interest in it so I figured I'd post it for everyone else.
^^^its a photoshop, and thats whiteboy selling it. and as far as i know, whiteboy doesnt do c/f (hence not listing it as a c/f hood)
i would imagine he was hoping to sell enough on ebay to pay for him to make the mold, which might explain the 3-4 week shipping quote.

However, pictured is a CF hood... the prospective buyer could use that against him as "item not as described"
even though we can tell its a carbon fiber hood, to any person @ ebay or paypal where the dispute would be judged, its just another hood, slightly off colored.
plus its listed as: "Specs:Full fiberglass, gelcoated, perfect fitment, eveil eyes build in"

Why are damn eyelids so expensive
***Looking for a BLUE 03+ STOCK cavi wing pm me if ya got one you wanna sell***
they arent if you do them yourself. anything you buy or pay someone else to do is going to cost though. but thats just basic economics there.

say you buy a carbon fiber hood, and u want the eyelids carbon fiber,
what would be the process of doing that?
(i looked at the post and found it very helpful, just wondering if there is a way to make it carbon fiber to match the rest of the hood)
no, not really. because carbon products rely on the weave for looks, you would be hard pressed to be able to do it.
however, there IS a way! but you would need a c/f hood and c/f eyelids that matched each other's weave. from there you would add the clear resin to "mold" them together, sand, and clear. imagine this hood and eyelids together:
but the problem with this is that you would still have a line where the two met. so if you want the c/f look with evil eyes, your best bet is to mold the lids on and paint only PART of the hood, as opposed to the whole thing.

either that or take a regular fiberglass hood, like thatone above, and put the fake crap on right? lol (even though i wouldnt do that)
thanks for the help
