Hello folks,
My girlfriend purchased a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire convertable last year and has been wanting to fix a few holes in the rag top since. I have absolutely NO experience with rag tops, so I need your guys' help!
How would I go about fixing each hole? There is about 4 of them, no larger than 1-2 inches in diameter.
Where can I get an entirely brand new rag top? I have looked at nearly every online part store that I could find.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, such as brand names of patches, steps on how to use them better, etc...

have you gone to local parts places like autozone or advanced auto? im sure they could get you another top, and if they cant, then your GM dealer definitely can, although itll cost you both arms and both legs.
other than that, theres a ton on ebay, but who knows how well they fit or their quality.

Yes, I have a Schucks (www.partsamerica.com), a NAPA, AutoZone, and a Baxter Auto Parts. None of them seem to have full stock rag tops, however they have reccomended patch kits. I'd rather replace the whole thing, as patched holes look kinda crappy.
I haven't been able to find any rag tops on eBay, would you mind linking me to one please?

yup, what he said. theres a ton on there. in fact, there are more hits for the top kits than just about anything else when you type in
cavalier convertible. good luck finding one for cheap. the ebay ones run about $300, but like i said, i cant vouch for the quality.

no problem. just do us all a favor and if/when you get one, post it up with pics and your opinions, etc. we vert owners gotta stick together for this sort of stuff ( and im sure i'll need a top in a year or so )
