Attaching a bodykit!

Okay people i have a problem? Almost a year ago I had a shop put a Drift bodykit on my car that i had recieved from someone on the org. I paid them $1000 to fit and paint the kit. I then recieved the car about a week after drop off. The work looked very nice, even my mother was impressed. I then drove from that city to another and as the months went on the kit started to show problems. Not your normal rock chip or curb rash, but it started to seperate from the car front, back, and sides. Come to find out the side skirts were attached by 5 WOOD skrews, and it wasnt like they were placed evenly, two at the front fender well one in the middle and two at the rear fender. the rear bumper has two skrews that hold most of the bumper weight on them. Needless to say i was upset, but this is just an opportunity for me to do-it-myself. So I have three questions:

A. Besides molding the kit to the body(thats coming later), how do you attach a bodykit to our cars?

B. Are bodykits supposed to come with any special hardware?

C. Did I get hosed in the deal earlier of is this somewhat common?

Thats for the help!

a. i used self tapping metal screws. that and some double stick tape is probably your best bet.
b. some do most do not
c. i think you know that you got hosed if it didnt stay. i did my own so i dont know if its common or not.

good luck doing it, it can be fun or piss ya off.

i'm replacing my kit and the shop i went to told me about a product called panel bond, supposed to be very good and strong, you could try that and then mold it to the car
