saw a bumper (urethane) i was thinking about getting from a junkyard but there's a little place where it's....how do i put this....bumped out. like something got behind it and pushed the plastic outwards. about an 1" - 1 1/2" outward crease. question - what's the best way to fix something like that? if i can. i was thinking of just taking a small rubber mallet and try to hammer it back it, but that won't make it perfect. suggestions??
thanks
Urethane is a pita to work with when it's "warped" in any way. Best bet, find a bumper that's not warped or damaged.
or just cut the problem area out then patch it !!!

said screw it and went ahead and got it this morning. i'll figure out how to fix it later. i may end up cutting it apart and molding it to my Z
To get it closer to shape take a heat gun and warm the area up. Once the area is pliable push in on it till it is just a bit past the shape it is supposed to be in. Then cool it while pushing with compressed air. It should take shape. You will still need to repair it though to make it 100%
