Are HID Conversion Kits Worth It?

I've noticed theres quite a few "plug-n-play" HID kits. Does anyone know if they are any good? Do the bulbs actually last as long as they claim? I've heard stories that the blubs tend to burn out a lot. Is that true?
Also, I'm trying to the find the person who sells the engine mounts and wiring harnesses for the 2.4L swap to the 3800 supercharged engine.

HID kits are only good with clear lenses. The stock lense on sunfires and pre-2000 cavaliers scatter the beam and are less effective than the stock lamps.

Okay.
Is there anyone who makes a clear lense for the 99 sunfire?

HID kits work pretty good, if you have a good harness and some good projectors that work right.
