Sup all!

I just scored a set of folding mirrors off a '96 4-door to try and put on my 99 coupe. Has anyone done this mod? If so, how hard was it? I'm concerned the mounting holes/screws won't match up. If it doesn't take too much, I'll do it, if it does, I'll probably resell them.

Any advice?

they mounting holes wont match up , well 2 of the 3 dont , and the body line is slightly off also

alot of people have put the 4dr on their 2dr

i had a 4dr and used the 4dr on my 97


try searching i know everything about it has been posted before , as well as the how to wire them if yours are the power 1's

its not hard to get the 4 door mirrors to fit the 2 door. mine are off a 4 door and no one can tell the difference, just gotta trim out 2 of the holes. i think matt teskes car had 4 door mirrors and his was a 2 door, and everyone knows the quality his car was. so its definatly possible to get them on the 2 door.

i just won a set off eBay for $102.77 shipped and insured from japan. mine are pictured with the switch but not the relay. i too would like to know where i can find the relay. streetline possibly?

relay is gonna cost you a grip! and streetline wont sell u just the relay, you have to buy the whole mirror set(trust me i know, i asked cuz i ran into a simular situation). what i did was take the relay off a toyota mr2 and just followed mike's how to: on wiring and it worked just fine. i also have a 4 dr mirror set and i just drilled out the holes a lil bigger and it fit just fine! good luck!

^--- thats not correct we told you that we had no extras ones to sell and the ones that we have in stock go with the mirrors. Sorry but when we did have the extra sets they sold in a few days.

Along the same lines here...... I also had tried to get the MR2 relay from another source, but they never got back to me guess I'll try again (if I can ever get my mirrors painted w/o messing them up before they get on the car.... lol)

anyone have closeup pictures of the fitment of the 4door mirrors on the coupe?? Do the sail panels look a lot different or is it just the bolts and holes that are diff.?

I have a set of 4 door mirrors here.... had them on the ol' "Bottle Fed Zed" coupe... a little dirty but salvageable... I might put them on this car eventually!!

How come they don't ever seem to have 2-dr mirrors? I mean... come ON... there's gotta be some coupes in the wrecking yards...

well my toyo mirrors came yesterday. so i guess it means i gotta make a trip to the junkers to look for the mr2 relay. anyone have a pic of what it looks like. or where exactly it is located in the car.

well not sure where the relay would be in an MR2, but the toyota cav i got mine out of was in drivers (USDM passenger side) side foot well next to the gas pedal so check there it has 11 wires coming out of it. i have a pick of the relay if you need something to go from...
