I think they actually look really good. I got one because my electric antenna broke, and everytime i turned my car on it would make this loud grinding noise. But yeah, those one's from auto zone look good, and they're really cheap, less than $10 I believe.

I bought a "stub antenna" off Ebay. Its about 12 inches long, rubber, gives same signal quality too. Only cost me like $12 too.

i got mine for like $5-7 and i think it looks way better than a tall stock antenna. Only thing is is when your going down the road it gets bent way back, and then i occasionally have to bend it back straight.
what is required to install one?? is it a "plug and play" type of deal?
might be another project for me tomorrow... i have from 11-6:30 to kill... so i plan on hopefully washing the car, if i get taht accomplished then wax it... may add this to my list!!
the old one just screws off, the new one just screws on. you might need a small pair of pliers if the old one is on too tight.

hell i just took a dremel to my stock one.. i hated how tall the stock one is but i thick the thicker shorter rubber ones look goofy.. so i just took a dremel and cut about a foot off of it.. actually put the end right around the roof line.. then i just cut the lil copper ball tip off the peice i cut off and used some JB Weld on it to the remaing peice to make it look factory.. i love it.. not majorly noticable but it is a nice touch.. then i just used some black paint and painted teh end if it was scratched or sumthing..
i dont have a rubber one
i just have a small metal one with like a coil lookin thing in the middle...
If you're getting any body work done, that would be a good opportunity to just shave it completely. That's what I did. Now I have one tucked up inside at the top of my rear windshield.
i use a "on-star" antenna instead.
I got mine from Auto Zone for 5 dollars lol
i got a Corvette 8inch antenna...it doesn't bent liekt he rubber ones and has pretty good reception
