well I got a citation today for not having a reflcetor in my rear tails... isnt the little bubble the reflector? I think I shaved off the DOT approves lettering... so what can I use in my defense, other than the arguement that theyre stock tails? I also got a citation for no reflector in my headlights, I did the oven thing to paint them and took the reflectors out, you thin I can get away with putting them on and saying the cop did not see them since he noticed the housings were painted? and I got another one for having overspray in my license plate bulb... but light still shines through, what can I do about this?
Sounds to me like the cop was just looking to nail you for whatever he could find.
Looking at your sig, you can clearly see the reflector in your painted tails.

However, there may not be a rear mounted reflector (just the sides), which is what he could have been popped for...
you should be able to fix these problems, go to the court house and show a cop and/or a judge and they dismiss the tickets. at least you can do that here in Ga

The pic in your sig clearly shows how it is in deed a reflector there hence the light REFLECTING !!! Sounds like the cop doesn't like pink and blue cars. Take a pica and go to court it'll get thrown out. As for the front I don't think the car comes with a reflector from the factory.

you know what, I had not even noticed that on my sig. Im just gnna take pics to show theres a reflector.. as for headlights, he waas referring to me taking out the orange little things. I think im gonna take pics of a stock cav and my cav to compare. the red bezel is not a reflector is it? its only the little circle right?
Thats an eazy fix. Just slap an amber light bulb in the headlight and TAA DUH !! Amber front turn signals !!!!
How does it work where you are cause here in MD you would have gotten an inspection ticket and all you need to do is run by an inspection station show them you have reflectors in the rear and amber bulbs in the front then they'd sign off on the ticket you mail in one part they keep another and you keep a third and the problems solved. Does it work anything like this down there ? If so there ya go!
