it doesnt look as if there will be enough people to start a group buy. just email me what you would like to be done and if i do not have that item here, i may ask you to take measurements for me in order to receive a price. thank you.

that does seem really expensive to have you paint the inside of the tail light...

BUT so you guys know, JUST the system to do this is well over $8K and the "chroming" material is expensive too

^^^this is very true. but rather than "painted", it is applied pretty much the same way as powder coating. each item is sandblasted, decreased (if needed), cleaned, sprayed with the chroming powder, baked, cured, sealed, ...... they need to go through numerous chambers receiving another application in each one. quite the process and pretty cool too.

Come on guys... this isn't some cheap backyard Rattle can chrome project! This is a real multi-process Chroming that actually lasts (unlike the APC stuff).

I'm in as soon as I build my taillights AND headlights, and wahtever else I comeup with that needs to match.

Wow, definitely a sweet idea. I think Altezza is gonna have a run for their money. Bump with all intentions to hit this up. Makes me wanna actually pour some money into good looking parts on my car instead of just performance stuff lol!

Just go to autozone and buy the anodized paint in any color you want and do your own headlights. Everything ive seen posted here has been something that was already chrome. Id be skeptical... How do you 'Bake' plastic headlight housings? Not saying anything bad about the guy id just like to see some pics of the product he's applying to the headlights..wheels..etc. What do i know though..

^^^have you read/seen the whole thread, or just jumped to the last page to reply? there are pictures that i had supplied to show you more than "already chrome". as a matter of fact, a couple of those rims were not chromed to begin with. the engine covers for the vet are plastic too. here you go again in case you missed it...

im not saying you cant go to auto zone, but i have never seen anybodys work with that stuff. baking plastic doesnt necessarily mean it needs to be in an oven for 30 minutes at 400'.

now after reading this, it may seem im upset. im not. im just trying to clarify what has been said.

So he can make stock red tail lights Chrome red....?

The inside of our taillights is a gray-ish color, the red only comes from the bulb and red lense covering it. This will turn that gray part chrome red, so you can use a clear lense cover and get a cool look.

hey everyone. i had brought everyones questions and concerns about "alsacorp.com" with my guy and wanted to share his response.

Quote:

Josh,
Sorry I did not get your last e-mail. About your question on the process. The process is similar, but to be honest with you I have tried many different companies and spent thousand of dollars trying to master this process with companies who claim they have the process and system to apply this chrome. I have been trying to master this now for about 3 years. I just found a company that there products and system stand in a class of its own. There is only one company out there, out of all of these so called plating systems that really works. With spectra plating you can count on a perfect product every time. You can also guarantee the best looking chrome on the market. The durability is in a class of its own, not including my 1 year garrantee. My process will not fade or come off on you. I can not tell you the amount of work I get from all these other companies that people have dealt with and they want me to fix the work from other companies. Josh I know you will make your own decision, but I promise you many of these companies that are out there are still trying to develop a perfect and consistent product. Spectra plating already has it. If you have any other questions please feel free to call or e-mail.

well, if anyone has any questions, please let me know.

ok, so what exactly would be needed to be done for the $120. I'm looking to get some stock tails, but I'm not really confident of disassembling and assembling the tails. Would this include the clear lenses, or is it just chroming the uncovered tails? Help me out here Josh, I'm looking to do something custom but I don't really have any ideas yet.
