I appreciate all you guys showing interest at a $250 price tag, but I'll just reiterate that we'll need 20 individuals to commit at that price.

I hope all the guys who are thinking "i'll just grab the file for cheap from someone who bought it" realize that if we dont get 10 people to pay $500 for it, we dont get it at all.

Come one guys this is a huge step forward for our cars.

Epicness is coming. Are you ready?

And just think, how many of us who spent our hard earned money on this thing will be willing to just give it away. I can tell you sure as hell no one's getting a copy of this from me, unless they're paying me to tune their car as well.

i can commit 100% if we get 20 people @ $250 each. I do have some questions since I am already flashed with the GM craptune would I need a new ECU or would we get a flasher to flash our ECU to his custom OS and send the flasher back?

yellow cavy, i think one of two things would happen - you could overwrite the gmpp tune, or you could pick up a spare ecu and write the custom os to that. But that will have to be clarified completely for you by Vince if this thing goes through.

alright was just curious did't know how locked down the ECU was after the GM reflash

I'm taking my name off the list, I don't think I'm going to to much more with my car and I'm going to be saving up money for a dp on a house so this would be useless to me, sorry guys.

Hmmmm this doesn't look to be going to well :S

Basically I guess Vince needs $5000 up front to write a custom speed density tune for us I guess?

Its really to bad that more people aren't getting on this, but I guess considering some people are just hoping it will come out and them snag the tune off someone else.

I guess there is no way to lock the tune so that it can't be flashed to any other computer but the original?

I look at it like I am either gonna pay $500 for speed density and tune the car myself with the help from a few friends (that tune for boost with speed density) or pay someone $500 if not more to tune for boost in Alpha-N for me (since I don't wanna risk doing that myself).

Yeah, i've pretty much given up on this. I would be great if we could get 20 people @ 250/person, but we can't even get 10 in a FEELER. So it looks like this stay's on Vince's shelf.

Personally, i'm gonna tune my s/c set up (TVS/LE5/L61) on 1 bar alpha n and see how it goes. It it's not satisfactory, I'm gonna look into other custom, yet OBD2 "compliant" options.

I knew it would go down like this... Jbody owners are CHEAP! (well, minus a few of us) Ryan, I would almost attempt the 2.5 Fake 2bar with the TVS. Let me know if you need a hand....

Part of the problem with peoples willingness to commit is the fact that Vince has not made any efforts to demonstrate his product on this forum. There aren't even specifics layed out about how it would work or if it would be backwards compatible with HPtuners, just conjecture. Being that it is months into this thread I would expect at bare minimum a basic overview of the product.
I had my doubts which is why my car is currently in pieces. I know I run the risk of this coming out tomorrow somehow and me kicking myself but honestly the last few years has been nothing but waiting on companies to support this platform. Honestly I would have been willing to pay for the factory fake 2 bar s/c program if I could edit it in HPTuners and use the TMAP sensor. There has been very minimal communication here from the vendor so its not a surprise an already fickle community is not willing to commit.

Good Luck

that's fair, i saw the JPG of the screenshot, but perhaps some detail as to how this will work, I know if I can just program a pcm with this file(for auto) i would be plenty happy, so i can modify the redline a bit, modify the MPH limit, and smooth the fuel and spark a little...with the gm tune as a base....

Ok... The following is will be in regards to a **Custom OS** , as thats what we would need to make this truly beneficial.. Based on all the previous info in this thread, I don't understand how anyone could question how it would work or the compatibility with HPT. All this was outlined! As far as why he won't "demonstrate" his product, why should he waste his time? There has been communication from him through myself and a few others. Point being, I'm not going to waste my time, or his time if the funds can't be produced. Point of matter is, WE NEED $5K TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN! All the specifics have been layed out, and until I can get people to commit 110%, I am not going to pursue this. I was originally going to pay for it all myself, but its too much of a risk... Basically, myself and a select few with be the "vendors", Trifecta would be the supplier... As far as why the community won't commit, its mostly because people are cheap!

A few points i thought of before calling it quits:

- This was a feeler - not a firm committment. It was saying "i have the money and this is where i sould spend it if it was available" It's not like I was going to take these names directly to a GP without more correspondence. That said, i know a fraction of the "feeler committments" actually come through.

- The eco s/c reflash is not worth the time or money IMO - it is basically a fake that we could roughly reproduce with a standard 1-bar OS. What i was interested in was the fact that Vince could have modified our 1-bar alpha-n OS into an x-bar speed density OS. That's what i was willing to pay for. I don't think he has done this yet, but he was very confident that it could be done.

- I know the burden of proof is on the vendor. Best I can tell about Vince is he is more of an R&D type person, not a salesman or dealer persay. He has dealers all over the country for his various products, and i bet a large percentage of the work/correspondence flows through them. In fact, our own QWK LN2 got his hands on the LNF trifecta dealer kit. I'm sure he can tell you its a useful and fun tool. If in fact there was a way to protect his work in a custom OS for our platform, we would probably already have it.

Trust me i am let down too - i thought this product, of all things, would be jumped on by this forum.

only thing he has done was made it a little simpler for the novice
