Looks good. I just don't get why you call hid's rice if they didn't come stock.
hes refering to the fact throwing HIDs in a no HID designed headlight.. this causing alot of glare to be blinding oncoming traffic.. yes you can see but what stops someone from veering into you because they couldnt see anything.
basically "ricers" have hids in factory headlights. its pretty bad in my area, but cops are pulling people over for it a lot now thankfully. Can't wait till i get my projectors finished because im going to be flashing every @!#$ with em in stock headlight housings.
Looks great! But I don't get why if you like the stock hid's, why you got the 6k?

6k is still good. Doesn't become really bad until anything after that.

I get ya. I figured it was because it wasnt a stockish color or something.
I'm curious how much light output a stock fog light housing with 35w hids can put out.my stock headlights suck.
Someone wanna take some pics of the fog lights with hids compared to stock headlights on stock bulbs?

not to go agaisn't everything i've said. but you'd be surprised. There is a great deal of light put out. The major difference is most of the glare make it so you see higher then you normally would. It doesn't just light up straight out, it goes up too(you know like the blinding light that blinds oncoming) I noticed this when i put 880s in stock fog housings. once i mounted projectors in them i was like wtf my output went down, when actually the output was better in terms of further, just the projector keeps it from going up into the trees. So it looked like there was less light output.
wanted to add too, when people say, i've had them for this long and i've never been flashed(im guilty of this as well), that excuse is full blown bull@!#$. Doesn't mean your not blinding anyone, it just means your blinding all those who don't want to flash their headlights.. they rather just squint and try to look off to the side then flash their headlights. So thats why i say once i get my headlights done im flashing every @!#$ with HIDs in stock housings lol

dude.. get the sand out of your vag. They really aren't that bright and smart people point them down at the road. And no I have never been flashed or told they are too bright. On top of that I go through road side safety checks, twice a month since im out at work when the bars shut down and the cops are out.
State troopers have NEVER said anything about them neither has a city cop.

Pansies.
I hate all the cheap aftermarket projectors offered for my car, and to be honest I dislike how projectors look period on certain cars. Plus people spending $500+ on some of the retrofits you need some sort of way to justify that cost, so argue with non-projector housing crowd if it makes you feel better.
My lows are aimed down nicely, but flash me and my highs will give you the business.
Yeah, ive never been flashed, never been pulled over, yeah I notice that some light is aimed up into the trees, and I want projectors, but im not about to dump $400 for retrofits.

lol i'll agree with you joe but you know as well as i do that its not suited for how they are used.. I cant say ive ever aimed them down and see the difference but i cant imagine that helping much if any.. it may make the high point of the light output lower, but that shouldn't be aimed up as is.

Yea, thats an awesome idea. Lets buy head lights to make things brighter and point them down. As for not being pulled over... my tint is too dark but i've never been pulled over. Does that mean its legal? No just means I haven't gotten a ticket for it yet. How about stop being a ricer and do your lights correctly. I agree the "No one has flashed me, I go through safety checks, I haven't been pulled over" is still a lame bull @!#$ excuse.

How is it a lame bull @!#$ excuse?
I have Hid's on my car, never been flashed or pulled over, Ive parked it and walked about 100 feet away, and it wasnt blinding at all.
I dont have a muffler on my car, and was passed inspection with no muffler on my car
My license plate light hasnt worked since I bought the car, and have never been pulled over.
Ive been pulled over ONCE for my LEGAL tint, after it took them 20 minutes to find someone with a meter.
So DDMtuning?
What are you guys using for wiring.if I do the fogs ill just run my own 10-12 gauge harness but what about the headlight harness?
DDM yes, great company.
I didn't buy mine and aim them down, I merely was pointing out that a lot of the idiots tossing HID's into stock housings don't know how to properly aim a headlight, much less know why it would be wrong to put such in stock housings.

So I'd be alright if I aim them down properly until I get projectors?
I won't say that for the sake of being flamed.
I will say many do it.

They will be aimed down. My current headlights output sucks close around the car and I don't need then to be aimed down the road. I have a nice set of hella lights that light up down the road that can be switched on and off.
^^Dude, you'll be fine. Just aim them down and you're golden. Just ordered my 6K 35W lows from DDM today. Wish they had the 881 HIDs for my fogs though, I want them to match...

i dont get why you WOULD use the projector.. it cuts the beam off so wtf is even the point?

All I want... is a little of the good life
They look pretty good. Not sure why you'd call them rice.
