got all the bolts cut off today and the new stuff installed. Car goes back in tomorrow morning for the adjustments. The bolts weren't just froze in there they were @!#$ welded by rust in there. Was doing some work in the engine bay yesterday too and got alittle to carried away and not paying attention. Then i felt this cold feeling on my arm. Oops:

kinda touched the header haha

so got it all aligned and buttoned up this morning. I actually feel safe driving it fast now... 110 fast lol that i even thought was pushing it. i dont think i'll even hit the speed limiter on it. i think its 135. so either im goin to work on the hood or the motor mounts next.

did some stuff today after work. I went all Honda on the trunk lol

got sick of listenin to the panels rattle when i left off the gas so they got taken out
Then i picked up this Metalcast paint from Duplicolor to paint the outer lip of the wheels i have. i'm not 100% happy with how it looks but i dunno. tested it on a peice of stainless steel i had laying around:
before:

after prep and before paint:

and painted:

after it dried:

you can see the sanding scratches through the paint thats what i dont like. It said to sand lightly but thats as light as i can sand.

if the shop is a quality tire place then they should be good enough not to scratch it. I had my rubber mounted on my wheels and i have a polished lip and not a single scratch on them.

oh im sorry i didn't please you with my selection of engine. Maybe i should have picked up one of those 2.7l 4G63 engines thats in your talon. Might wanna fix that. You must have missed the 1st page of this thread. When i stated this is a "daily driver". If i wanted a car to sit on jack stands more then i drive it, i would have picked up a TSi or GS-t/GSX.

Oh I'm sorry, I got our pieces of sh*t on jack stands confused because my f--king car runs yours is still in pieces. My car runs, your "Breeze" is till in pieces.

Dave De Stefano-- who the f*ck invited you to this bbq. All you have is a stock cav on your profile. Hell the "Breeze" is a porsche compaired to that POS.

first, i guess i missed the memo that you must have a fast car to have an opinion about someone...i'll keep that in mind...its like a damn fish market.

second, lighten up, everything's in good fun.

and third, he doesn't want the fastest talon in the world, so why do you continue to have comments like his car will lose a race? its like you don't understand english for some reason...I TEACH FOR FIVE DOLLAR! YOU LEARN QUICK! SPEAK IN NO TIME!
