How unpleasant. Bland as a Taurus.
what is with all these companys having the radios designed into the panel like its all one piece(like the escort) they suck and we cant go aftermarket. sure they make out when it goes and u need to replace it they got u cornered. thats messed up and it seems to be gaining momentum with automakers. FAIL
Still loaded with tons of plastic too!!
We almost bought a GT when they first came out and still like the exterior but the interior full of plastic has turned us off so far!
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?

after relooking at the pictures, it does have a lot of similarities to vw's
I also see shades of VW, but the center stack totally apes Jaguar. Personally...i like the current one better. It was fine.

The problem with a lot of modern cars is that they stick crappy looking plastic all over the place in there instead of loading it with the old school rubbery type stuff that's in my Sunfire. Sure, it fades a lot quicker but looks a lot better for the time you own the damn car. Also, stop with the straight angles! We get it Ford! You own a ruler! Bravo! *claps* You, like most four year old children, can make a straight line. Here's a cookie, now please design something that has a little character. It's not bad and at least the gauges are in pods instead of those horrible old rectangles of old. But when I think Mustang, I think WW2 airplane. I think sleek and sexy. I'm thinking switches and lights and knobs and a something quirky, impractical layout. Is that so hard to do well?
I will say that the new Mustang will be better than the last one... probably, and that I will always have a soft spot in my heart for it. Yeah, it won't be as good as the Camaro or as sexy as the Challenger, but it's a damn fine car nonetheless. It's midly stylish, has decent power, isn't more expensive than the average minivan, and when you drive one you don't look like a pussy. What more do you want?
not really all to impressing.
My Cav
I give up...
i'm buying a VW those people love trees, so they should love eachother too... "Andy"
I take $h!t$ more interesting than that!
i think its an improvement. im not to fond of the whole flat design though but atleast its not as bad as the some of the stuff dodge is putting out in their muscle cars lol
Yep my jetta has those door handles, but mine are shiny
Pretty neat how it looks like VWs, go ford!
upon second viewing that ctereo is total fail!!!!
it totally ruins any chance of an aftermarket unit. And/or will be expensive to replace the bezel for an aftermarket frendly one.

it looks just like the current one?

With one exception. They changed the damn center vents. I HATE when car companies mix and match things like how the new one has round vents on the ends of the dash, and then te rectangle ones in the center. I seriously prefer the current style over the new one. A few more pieces of aluminum rather than plastic, and it wouldn't be bad... but the center vents, although a rather small part of the overall look, really ruin this new interior for me.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

To be honest, as a Mustang fanatic the interior is very disappointing. The center stack in my opinion is just way too cluttered with buttons, gadgets and the lot. The once piece center is totally stupid. Ford taking away the option to install an aftermarket stereo system is a really dumb boneheaded move. Something in my gut tells me that I'm not going to like the instrument cluster but I have yet to see a heads up image of it and from the side it just seems "flat" for the lack of a better word. The only things I do like about the redesign is the cover for the cup holder and that Ford decided to move the D.I.C. buttons from the center dash to the driver's side near the lights. Really I like the interior of my 2006 1,000% times better than forthcoming redesign.
Oh the handles in the Mustang have been on every redesigned 2005 and up Mustang. I have them in my Mustang but they are satin aluminum and not black or chrome as shown in the pictures. If I'm not mistaking those handles were lifted off the Ford Five Hundred which obviously got inspiration for it's looks from the Volkswagen group.
So is the MYCOLOR feature gone from the redesign?
