RD FABS 2001 Chevy 3500 HD Turbo'd truck.

Well i don't think we've ever posted one of our fun little toys we built for a customer who also lets us use it for Advertising and towing our cars to shows when he's not pulling his 5th wheel with it... Now this was built to how the customer wanted it done, not necessarily how we would have done it if it were our own.

Syracuse Sport compact and truck blast 07

This was my ride for the weekend as the cav was on my @!#$ list at this point in time torn apart and actually hasn't left the position i left her in.

The fire and the Civic. Chris with his sunfire actually took home 1st in the j-body/ cobalt class and the truck took 3rd. We were quite shocked when the truck took 3rd actually.

Couple videos for you all. The BOV is loud as hell and when your cruising on the highway with the turbo mounted right behind the glass, it sounds like a jet engine with the windows up.

I don't remember the Dyno numbers off the top of my head nor do i have the sheet ( customer does) but it broke the tie down straps from soo much damn torque it was a rediculus amount. I want to say 700 something but don't quote me. He also gained 5mpg while towing his 5th wheel to texas.

C&C always welcome. Enjoy, i know i sure as hell enjoy it.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

She's the 5.3L Fuel injected motor. Not diesel what your not the first one to think it was diesel.

Machzel - It looks like it , but there is an seperator inside of it so the exhaust is seperate from the charge pipe and since it runs down under neath the truck up to the engine bay the piping cools off the air to a safe temp.

She's boosted at 14psi and HP tuned for those if anyone was wondering. I'll see if i can find the numbers from ryan tomorrow when i get back out there.

whoops, I just saw a one-ton with a turbo and figured it was a diesel. I was wondering about the strange placement of the turbo, but it makes sense now (kind of).

thanks for making me look like an idiot, no matter how easy it is

It should be a 6.0 gas. I don't think the 5.3 was offered in the 1 ton.

Well oops, my bad on the repost. At least we got some videos now. As for the numbers put down.

10psi - 420hp
18psi - 489hp

Ryan didn't remember the Tq numbers, as it is in our work/show binders that come with us to car shows and i wasn't going to bother trying to find them today since we are swamped with work, but it was a 2" ratchet strap that broke not the mechanical part, but the strap it self and it was brand new.

Those numbers would go up if the turbo wasnt mounted in a dumb spot like that. You want them mounted as close to the head as possible. Its the heat energy that actually spins the turbo. Im sure hes losing power with it mounted like that. I hope that wasnt your alls choice for the location...

COMING SOON! VERY NICE!

What about the Vipers and Corvettes that mount the turbo(s) under the rear bumper? Same type of idea here (remote location.) Turbo lag is minimal and barely noticeable and we don't have the heat issues associated with mounting a big turbo in the engine bay.

*****************Cody, this truck is a 6.0L V-8
