i own a 95 grand am gt w/a 3100. im thinking about swapping it to a newer 3400 from another newer gt. will this work? the gt is a 99 auto, so it should just drop right in, right? and what about the wiring?? i have alot of questions this is my first fuel injected project car, but i am a very capable mechanic. is this going to be something that i can't do in a weekend? will it run stronger? just want some help. please
Why are you planning on doing this?
If you want to do this, ask on GrandamGT.com Just realize you're likely going to make more problems than the power you'll gain is worth.
im wanting to swap because my engine has almost 200000 miles on it, is a little wore out, and i want a little more power than a stock 3100 makes. i plan on bulding it a bit, so i thought that a better engine would be a better platform, and the 3400 is a better engine than the 3100 not because it is bigger because there are more tuning options, its newer, its better designed, etc
