looks WAY too much like the figure of the new camaro... i dont mind the style, but im sick of every fuking manufacturer doing the same things at the same times... its annoying.

if the b-pillar is all that really changed from the concept, who the hell cares... at least it looks like a challenger and not a family sedan with a muscle car moniker...

We can still hope that it will retract when you lower the rear windows down.

The B-Pillar is, unfortunately, necessary to keep production costs down

Doesn't the B pillar help with roll over accidents too...?

Still looks badass, I'd rock it.

I love how the big 3 just copies each others ideas trying to gain ground on one another. All the while they slip further behind the Japanese car companies and can't figure out why...

It's stuff like this that makes me depressed sometimes.

Don't worry, the Challenger may LOOK like the new camaro, but I'll bet you $100 its engine management system is 100 times more stupidly complex and that it will have 1/4 of the aftermarket the camaro will

In the 60's, muscle cars all had the same general design aswell. Through out the generation, cars copy each other-- albeit they try to modernize their designs.
As for B pillars, give them to me, I rather have a weather-proof car. And with the amount of torque this car will produce, those pillars will help control the twisting force.
For me:

I give it 2 months after the first Challenger hits the streets that you see pictures of an LS2 Swapped into one.

dodge has always built HEAVY cars

i doubt any of the cars from the 60's early 70's weighed less than 3600lbs , except the dart and early baracuda

That weight combined w/ a max of 235 tires stock could lead to some scary situations. That is if you can turn off the traction nanny.

well a 426 max wedge would run 11's on 60's bias ply tires , with maybe 6" tread width

on white wall slicks they ran 10's

but back then people had real BALLS

Exactly and they weren't using huge rims either.

Time slips?
What car?
Most old cars weren't as fast as people give them credit for.
Also this isn't a 426 its a 6.1litre.

Yea those times are way too fast..... (lay off the crack pipe)

Hell a 68 Dodge Charger R/T with a 440 and 4 on the floor was a mid 13 second car... and thats with a profesional driver at a drag strip.

And those where one of the fastest muscle cars ever made (stock).

I dare you to find any "muscle car" that even dipped into the 12's back then off the showrrom floor... hell... you have to go exotic to get that present day......

some people's children...... I swear....
