I've tried to find the answer, but to no avail. As a last resort, I turn to the folks here on the .org.
I have a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder XE 4x4. I'd like to fit a larger, wider tire without having to change wheels or suspension parts. Ideally, I'd like to fit a 245/75R15 (stock is 235/70).
Does anyone know if this will fit without rubbing? I've found that a 30x9.5 will fit, but I don't know how to convert that sizing.
Any help would be appreciated.

Oops. Meant to put in Other Cars. Mods please move?

Well my buddy has a 96 and he has 31/10.5/15's on his..fill the wheel wells nicely and dont rub except on big articulations. Go for it...phil
I had 31/10.5/15's on my 97, and they did rub when turning sharply.

**there is only one true love in my life... and my girlfriend has learned to live with it**
the 245/75/15
diameter is 29.5"
width is 9.65"
looks like they should fit if the 30x9.5's will work

Yeah, just found out that, too. I wasn't able to find any 245/75.. Probably will go for the 30x9.50s. I'd love to have the 31"s, but living in the city, sharp turning to get parking, etc happens too often, and I'd like to avoid the rubbing. Then again, I may just wait until spring, give it a slight lift, and then fit the 31"s anyway. I don't NEED tires now, it's just that it has P rated tires right now (on them when I bought it last year), and they're more than okay, but it'd be nice to have LTs on there...
