Yes you seen this right, I'm done with the J-Body platform. No power, no resale value, terrible fitment, etc.
I have found a 2004 Dodge SRT-4 ....this thing ROCKS! I cant believe I thought a cavalier was a nice car until I drove this and sold the Cavalier for it. What a difference, no speed limiter, Turbo!, awesome ride and incredible power potential with simple bolt-ons.
Thanks for all the help many on here have given me in the past....I have not been on here in a while, I know, but I have found greener pastures and a truly exclusive car.
The most I ever got out of the Cavi, was a wimpy 142.3 HP!!! Weak...this thing puts out 243.4 at the wheels!
still slow and crappy resale
no power rear windows
sounds like you shouldn't of wasted all that money on simple bolt ons.
Was the fact that you bought a N/A economy car, that was slow, and had little to no resale value not painfully obvious to you from day one?
Hello, Mom, sky is blue.

(almost) Any car CAN be made fast. It sounds like your the kinda person who wants to start off with something fast and make it faster

Have fun
It's not all about speed. But if you're gonna do it, keep on the track. Have fun cause they are nice cars
arent the 04's the 1's that DIDNT come with the LSD's ?
bad move on chryslers parts
in the end its still just a neon , just like its just a j-body , cheap ecno-box
This has the limited stlip on it - no problems there.
It is the 04 and has revised computer controls for a little more power over the 03's.
Sunroof
Kicker sound system.
Full loaded.

Thanks WHITE CAVY - your ride is looking better than ever!
SRT-4 ONLY MADE IN 2003-2004-2005
2003 - No limited slip and fair tires
2004 - Limited Slip and better tires and better interior upgrades
2005 - Change of tires again, not a bad tire choice, and some ACR models

I agree. SRT-4 can't go wrong.
And actually.
2003 Had the Michelin tires (better) and no LSD.
2004-05 Had the BFGs (worse) but power upgrade and LSD.
2005 ACR came in and was the best SRT-4.
All tests concluded that the standard Michelin gave better lateral G (grip) then the standard BFGs on the later years. Reason DCX dropped the Michelins, was because of the cost.

-----The orginal Mr.Goodwrench on the JBO since 11/99-----

I stand corrected Mr Goodwrench...my bad.
0-60 is at 5.8 seconds
Still fastest production car for Dodge for under 20,000 back then...and fastest Dodge that year other than the Viper!!!
the 05's have oil leak problems. I was considering an SRT4 as an upgrade and did a lot of research, 04 was the BEST year. 03 had trans problems, 04 had no problems, and 05 has oil leak issues,
no matter my cavalier would still walk all over an srt4... to bad I sold it
