I'm working on that. There might be another person coming from Cali that he could hitch a ride with or something. I hope to know shortly.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

You want to see a Sunfire that has 2 car covers on it with the front part ripped apart because of the dogs?

If so I would be more than happy to snap some pictures for you . . . .

Anyways, if we are gonna be splitting hairs here Adam my 11.90 pass was on 16 psi, and I have been up to 23 psi and 80 shot dry. Never got the time so it doesn't count.

any numbers or videos? how was the a/f with the dry shot?
23psi and ur turbo with an 80 has to be close to 500hp.
arent the eagle rods rated at 550?

not calling bs, just curious

Just so everyone knows, I wasn't splitting hairs by any means. I merely thought it would add some interest. My bad. Everyone just has to show up with their best and hopefully run their best whether that's a missed gear or not.

True that, I thought I would bring a little spice for the curious as well.
A/F was I guess 12:1 lol, JK, I kind of don't understand what you mean as far as how was the A/F?

I guess if you run the engine management of some sort you have an option of having many different maps on your lap top, and it is as difficult as loading them if that's what you mean.
We have a map, for 23 psi on pump, on race, 23 on a shot and race, and many others.

The car on the shot never stopped roasting tires up to 4th gear about 90 mph, and it gets a little light and squirly all in 4th to 120-125.
I guess all you have to do is hold on to the steering wheel really hard and go along for a ride.

As for Adam, I am hoping it doesn't all boil down to 1 race between me and you.
We both have damn near 10 second FWD car if not high 10's and they are 5 speeds with that so we all know how many things can go wrong.

We can do a few races best out of 3 or best out of 5 or something along those lines, to make it more fun or not it makes no difference to me.
For all I care I don't even have to race you at the event but I WILL BE THERE to show my J friends what my car can do and have fun.

It's all fun and expensive games.

Haha, I like that comment. Yeah, I'm just looking forward to having a good time. I'm also glad that you aren't boasting and trying to start a fight like so many of these threads turn into. Shows some real class and I respect that. So like you've said, lets just bring our best and have some fun, regardless of the outcome.

It's cool Adam I have nothing against you or anyone for that matter, I just wanna race, and that is what it all should be about.
Like I said 5-6 years ago I never dreamed J community would evolve this far but I guess when you are with a platform for 8 years this is what you do to it. lol

I am not stuck up and I know what I have.
There is always a faster car, I guess it all boils down to how much money someone has or how well they can utilize what little money they DO have and what kinda friends and people they have around them.

I am glad there are a few guys besides us that are setting up races as well, it is always fun watching and rooting from the sidelines as well as it is racing yourself.

I am curious as to what you are going to be running if you are willing to disclose and if not I will totally understand.
If not I will stop posting pics in the boost thread that I started posting the pics of my progress in.

Does it matter what tires we run, how much interior we have, or will it just be fun and anything goes, I sure hope it is not the 1st one.

I have a full interior ride and I will maybe be running on Mickey Tees ET Streets that are DOT, but as far as I am concerned you can run all you want I am not going to demand anything in the particular and stupid.

Will you guys be running the same set up as before or you are stepping up to a sleeved block and whatnot?

Well, to be completely honest Jazz, I'm just not sure what we are going to do. There are just so many options to choose from. Some require a lot more work, some require less work but more messing around at the track, and some don't require much more work at all. Soon enough we will know and I've been going over the combinations in my head for hours and the choice doesn't seem to be getting an easier lol. I started work on it last Sunday on ripped the trans out to inspect the clutch and flywheel. Then I proceeded to get the motor ready to be taken out because it had a stock one in it while i bracket raced the car. There will obviously be a built motor going back into, but how built I do not know lol.

What I do know is that my interior will be missing a back seat because the roll bar gets in the way . There is no heat or a/c in the car, but I do have the full dash and both front seats. Right now the seats are stock but we have a pair of racing seats that may go in...depending on my willingness or time lol. We will also be running slicks of some variety. I believe they will be MT 26x9.

I know it seems like I'm trying to be sneaky but my dad and I have honestly talked about this for hours. Tonight we will probably begin to start narrowing down our selection and who knows??? Maybe you guys will have a choice in our selection

lol, at Brian no problem man I am all race.

Adam its cool, the only reason I am wondering is because I wanna know how much to bring to the plate so that way it's a good race and not a slaughter for neither of us.

I think the car might get done by Friday and I might race my race.
