When people say "the 4-2-1 headers give better power at the lower rpm range and the 4-1 at the upper rpm range", does this mean you get no benefit at the lower rpm range with 4-1 or that you get benefit at all the rpm ranges but more at the higher? Example:
On a scale of 1-10 (like a theoretical 10hp gain. just for discussion):
4-1: low rpm range 1-2hp and high rpm range 8-10hp
4-2-1: low rpm range 8-10hp and high rpm range 1-2hp
or
4-1: low rpm range 7hp and high rpm range 8-10hp
4-2-1: low range 8-10hp and high range 7hp
If that makes sense. Like the first example the difference would be very noticeable. Second example doubt it is noticeable at all unless you get a car where a header will give like 50hp. On our cars, if example 2 is correct, 4-2-1 or 4-1 no one would even really be able to tell much but the first example it would be very easy to tell.
