New to Cavaliers

Alright I just bought a 95 Coupe with the 2.2L OHV I4 Engine. I bought the car from a kid who said it wasn't running and I got another engine with it that supposedly runs. Started thinking and took the plug wires and starter off of the spare engine and put on engine in the car and it turns over and tries to start but won't. I'm wondering if anyone might have any ideas as to what might be wrong with it. I'll get some pics later on of it to put up on here, but until then I need some help with this.
thanks and any reply would help at least should help.

Adam

Plugs have spark but it's not real bright blue it's kinda a yellowish color. Would that be the ignition coil or plug wires?? It also seems to be getting gas but am planing on getting a new filter and pump anyway.

Not to sound dumb, but how do you check them I know they are on the back of the engine but I have never had an engine with coil packs. All of mine have been carburated with distributors so I need some info on this.

Thanks

yellow is bad. You already tested them and they're bad. I would replace the coil packs regardless. probably get some cheap on ebay.
