Well I just bought a 95' Sunfire GT Black, I dont have it yet since it needs to be safetied / emissioned but I should get it by early next week, cant wait lol
I've been here a few times before when my friend got his 97 Sunfire gt white looking for some info n what not. Anyways lookin forward to my stay here and modding the Fire.
BTW any one from Windsor Ontario on here?

Nice. Welcome to the site. ps- Let me know if you want to buy a WAI intake. I accidently bought one like a year ago for a 2.2L engine not realizing it was for the older 2.2L while mine was the 2200 OHV and the throttle body being on a different location. It's a weapon R

Yeah I have the 2.3L and not 2.2 but thx for the offer though. haha I'll do that next time when lookin for something.

oops, I thought everything before was just 2.2L ... lol, our cars have had so many engine changes.
yeah lots of eng changes the one that gets me is in the 2nd gen z24 WTF it's got a 3.1????? how the hell dose that work . it's supposed to be a z24 not z31
congrats on the buy. I have a 95 sunfire GT also with the 2.3L . I had to take it to the shop one day (GM Dealership) lol they told me I had the wrong engine in the car, and that GM did put a 2.3L in a sunfire. They were idiots they ran the VIN and still didn't believe it. They even had the balls to say I did a bad engine swap and thats why the car ran so bad. The engine is all original and stock since I can't really find too much about the 2.3L. So good luck.
In the end one of the fuel injectors was the cause, its got about 130,000 on sat all winter (got 99 Z24) but fired right up. its a good car and is tough to really break.

the car being called a Z24 has nothing to do with the size of the motor

if that were true, then the z06 corvettes would have a 600cc motor (0.6 liter), and the chevy z71 trucks would have a 7.1l engine. it just turns out that the z24 ended up with a 2.4l engine in the third gens.
as for the OP, welcome to the addiction.
congrats on the 95 2.3 .. its a rare find .. lots of mods out there for it though..even a HO swap ...check out www.quad4forums.com for info on your engine..
