Whats the diff. between a z24 and a rally sport???
main thing is the motor. the RS has the 2.2ohv or maybe its the 2200.
the Z24 has a 2.4

Not entirely I don't think. I'm pretty sure there's a difference in suspension too. Like my RS has the factory rear sway bar or stabilizer bar or whatever the factory called it. The base model Cavy's didn't have them as far as I've seen.
Difference between an RS and a base coupe... (straight from a 1999 cavalier sales brochure)
RS came standard with cargo-area net, carpeted floor mats, colored bumpers, dual covered visor mirrors, easy entry passenger seat, front mud guards, mechanical trunk opender, intermittent wipers, elctronic speed control, 15" wheels (steelies), tilt wheel steering, rear spoiler. All of those were available only as Options on the base coupe.
RS standard/options not available for base coupe are power windows, tachometer, 15" aluminum wheels, embroidered headrests, and rally sport emblems.
the some other things would be transmission and exterior color.
the RS never came with the 3 speed auto. only the 4 speed auto and 5 speed manual. the base coupe came with all three transmissions.
in 1999 there were 10 exterior colors available (black, aquamarine blue metallic, medium opel metallic, medium sunset gold metallic, green metallic, medium green metallic, bright red, cayenne red metallic, sandrift metallic, bright white). out of those the RS never came in medium opal blue metallic, medium green metallic, or sandrift metallic.

Don't forget the 5-spoke directional alloy wheels. Every RS I've seen has had them or the silver wheel covers.

already in my list. RS's came standard with 15" steelies and had the option of 15" aluminum rims.
