Installing Pioneer Super Tuner IIID XM ready tomorrow. I have both wiring harnesses, 1 for the head unit, and the harness adaptor for GM. Problem is this 3 wires on the GM harness adaptor are not connected, nothing to connect them to, dimmer, illumination and amp turn on; on the stereo harness the blue wire is not connected to anything. What should I do? I know that I have to find a power source else where such as the wipers, ect....
Not really sure why I have a total of 4 wires that are not connected.
i left them unconnected with electrical tape over the ends of them.....works fine for me

I have 2 amps in my car. I am wondering should I connect it to the power antenna wire.
Only if you just want your amps to turn on when you are listening to the radio.
Go from the blue remote wire to a relay to the two amps.

How about if I just run a wire from the head unit to the fuse panel. Would I have to fuse it then, seeing how it basically is already fused. My amps are not the problem here. Those already work weather the head unit is in or not. All lights come on, all I need to know is which frickin wire do I use to poer up the frickin head unit!
Sure, you can do that. And you can prolly get away without fusing it cause it already has a fuse from the panel.

wizkiddrummer you are the only one inside this forum that actually unstands what I was talking about. Yes that did work, the only thing is that between the deck and both amps there is too much power for the speakers to handle. So until I get the speakers changed out again, the stock deck will be in place. But at least now I know what I have to do to get it done. Thanks.
