SUNROOF PROBLEM

Anyone had problems with their sunroof before? Was it easy it fix? My sunroof hasn't been working for about a year now, and I've decided to take it to a shop to get it fixed. I looked up parts for it on ebay and they didn't have them, any opinions on this?

Are GM dealers the only ones who have the motor? Because I was looking around, perhaps not hard enough, and couldn't find them anywhere. Also, could it have been the alignment or something like that? I remember that I took my car to a shop and they said that the motor was burned out (windshield wiper), then they checked again and it was one of the arms that didn't work, saved me a couple of hundred dollars.

you can go to a junkyard and get a sunroof motor. or your local parts store

I had a problem with one of my Z24's. One day the glass just got stuck open and wouldn't shut. For some reason the one arm wouldn't seat properly when the glass was installed, if I took the glass out if worked fine. I could never figure out what the exact problem was but it works on it's own sometimes, others it doesn't.
