If i sat here and explained everything that goes into this job you would under stand and in that amount of time i could half build the next one lol. Ravens car was just about 130-140 hours. The last one was about 105 hours. plus the parts.
Im from Canada
As for the other questions...
My swap isnt costing as much as the last one double Z did cuz I am doing alot of the work at my house. Also remember that $17,000 is canadian dollars. I just needed the subframe made and I will send the wiring out to Brad at Double Z. The rest is done here.
James, I dont have the ac compressor on there, but the bracket is in the trunk of the car and I will be ordering an AC delete pulley pretty soon.
In total with parts and labour, I think the total should be around $7000-$8000 canadian. (hopefully )
Thanx for the comments guys, I will show John this thread, I am sure he will appreciate the great comments, keep em coming.

I will not be running upper dogbone mounts. They wont be needed with the way its mounted now. And thanx for the compliment, I definately agree that John did an amazing job on the subframe, I am very satisfied.

Thats not an oil leak, its from when he took the oil filter adapter off. I wanna powdercoat the subframe, so i might take it out before i start the car, i can do anything i need to then. I actually gotta pull the oil pan cuz I noticed when everything was being fabricated that there was a dent in it!

The only place that I have seen an ac delete pulley available from is Thasher but they want $299us for it. From the looks of the pics I'm sure that John could make something up for you for much less.

Keep up the great work, you will love the finnished product when it's done.
Just as long it is about my car and now me
J/K dude! I will be running probably a 2.5 inch all the way back to the Y pipe with 2 twin tip magnaflow mufflers.
James, there is a delete pulley available on L67swap.com for $90. John said he could make a real nice one up for me for about $150 if I want it.

That is an awesome job with the front member . The engine looks great setting in the car even without the frontend on .

Hey guys this is a question for those whom have gone through with a 3800 swap. My question is in regards to handling. Do they steer well in a balanced manner or is there so much more weight up front that it has a negative impact on the handling of the car.
Do unto others as you would have done unto you

^^^ My car still handles great. Not much different than the way it was before the new engine. I haven't auto-x the car with the new engine but you might see some more oversteer with it but I don't notice it on the street.
WELL, now that i know you're all canadian.... Im still proud to be american because this predominantly comes from American cars.

Has anyone found a way yet to still keep the AC when swapping this instead of a delete pulley? I'd figure you guys are getting rid of the AC for performance reasons. But... that engine is plenty powerful.

Now i just said all that... there probably isnt room for the compressor as well as the lines and such, am i right?

It can be done without issue, just quite a bit of work, everything would have to be re routed to a more convenient location in the fire wall. But it can be done.
it wont be running for a while, the wiring wont get done till atleast next month and i wanna pull the engine again before i start it to paint the engine bay and the engine. I would have painted the engine before i took it to the shop, but he called me like a week before and said he had an opening, so i didnt have time to.
