Why do i sense a little reminiscence of that pimp-scort you had for a beater as a partial reason for this new color jay?

Very good eye!

That is part of it along with my first vehicle being a 1994 S10 in a similar color. I've always been a fan of turquoise!

Ran into a quite large issue this weekend but I am keeping details to myself for the time being.

Import Fighter sides with a little flare so they meet the WW front and rear lips correctly.

Super 60 torn down for new housings, a few seals, and hardware.

What color is that teal, and is it powder?

Yup! All powdercoated. I have no idea it's actual color name. I went to QC coatings out by me.. pointed at the color on a sample.. and then said do that! It was the only turquoise at the shop.

My camera didn't pick up it's true color however..

Link to QC coating's webpage with info on where they get their powder.. might help ya!

The wheel spacers or the hub spacer? The wheel spacers I find on eBay. Always making sure they are hubcentric and are usually made for VWs. The 6mm hub spacer was made by MantaZ (Stephen). Not sure if he will be producing anymore of them. Wouldn't hurt to ask him!

Header install is on hold for a few weeks. I am taking a moment to breath and a break from the car for a little bit.

Well that worked out well! If I run across a car your color anytime soon I will compare myself. That teal/turquoise is a 95-99 only color? I am not up to date with my J colors.

I have seen 00-02, but the color seems a little different than the 95-99 ones.

Still alive and kicking...

Impromptu coolant bottle painting. Scuffed the whole bottle, sprayed a few coats of adhesion promoter, then extra durable/bulletproof Duplicolor wheel paint. Only time will tell if it sticks and lasts.. Looks great for now! And don't worry about the fact the bottle isn't see through anymore..

Borrowed a good friend's Eastwood fender roller. This is an amazing tool! Went to town with it and results are amazing. Lips rolled nicely, outside paint stayed intact, lips cracked but paint repairs are being addressed soon anyways. Did not use heat! The most annoying part was I had to use 30mm of spacer and had to knock out one lug stud since mine are so long.

Got a good deal on a 2200 coil pack setup with bracket. Only used the bracket with my MSD setup. Painted the bracket with Rustoleum hammered finish and wired in the MSD. Mocked everything up to see how the red/teal combo looks. I love it.

Gauge pod is a big work in progress right now. This time around I will be using SEM rock/chip guard for texture and may not use the Mopar Agate for color. I believe all my lifting issues are because of the Mopar paint.. So far my test panel is working out well although the lifting issues would occur on hot 90+ degree days with windows up.

And the rust that nearly ended my 9.5 years with the car.. I almost threw in the towel when I discovered these holes. I peeled back some of the rust just for shock value. lol. I was turned onto Sherman Associates for patch panels. These are gonna come in handy! Plan is to cut the entire section out and burn these on. Undercoating and priming accordingly in the process. Sealing it way better than GM ever did.

And my new BFH that should be arriving soon. There was a SNAFU with the last one. Fetter is a stand up guy and has been nothing short of amazing with this transaction.

I am loving the progress 100% of this car, but I am really suprised that this car doesn't have neon rear disks on it.

Thanks guys!

I owe Scott (96CavalierSS on JBOM) all the credit for finding the patch panels. He used them on his 96 Z24 pictured here.

that same rust ended it for me on my 01z 2door also. thats the main reason i went to the 4door. you might also want to check the rear frame rails. mine was also was blowing out there also.

side note sending you a pm about....

Never been a fan of painted factory coolant res's, but doesnt look bad with the teal. Didnt think Id like the color change underhood, but think I just loved the red accenting soo much. Cant believe youve been boosted soo long on factory ignition! Coil swap is a gread supporting mod
