I've had the droid since the second day it came out and i love it. No issues at all.
The photos it takes are pretty good. I use it to take photos of jobs if i need to trace something and it works great.
the droid is made by motorola.... not HTC.

2.0 for the Eris is coming out in Q1 thats why i just got it now
meh, i really expected better from a 5.0mp camera.

really? thats odd considering ive had phones with cameras back to a .9 megapixel and for some odd reason every time i upgrade the pictures get better. ive got a 3.0mp now in my ENV3 and it takes outstanding pictures.whereas my 1.3mp camera on my LG6100 sucked my ass.
i was referring to the phones here, you know... with the tiny ass lenses? now for digi cameras that maybe the case... i dont know.

At least it's better than my @!#$ty ass camera on my iPhone 3g. I was very disappoianted with it.
Meh it still is not very good. Looks like phones still have a ways to come in taking quality pics.

Who cares about cell pic quality. 99% of them aren't good enough for print anyway.

No. MP ^ means you can print out a picture at a higher resolution. With say, a 10mp camera... you can blow it up to poster size without pixelation.. A 5 mp camera can look jsut as good if not better than a 10mp in a 4x6 picture. For examply I have a 5mp canon camera and my parents have a 7mp off brand camera mine is 10x better than theirs when it comes to pics. Same with cell phones.
This is with my 3.2mp camera on my env touch.. just as good imo if not better..
Quality of the lens, shutter, ect, all of that matters.

thanks for explaining how it works but ive had pictures from my 1.3mp camera phone made into 4X6's as well as my 3mp and 1.3's looked like total ass. you really could only do wallet sized on those to make them look halfway decent.
the 3mp 4X6's look damn good though...
maybe 1.3 is just too small for a 4X6 i guess.
