Something showed up at my house for Collins car today

Decided to get the metal lower intake gaskets.

And a few of the car. A mere shadow of its former and future self.

Sweet. Now he just needs some IF sides and the rear lip to match up with it.

Swap is coming along good. Only concern is I hope that engine bay is getting cleaned up while it's empty. No better time to do it.

They actually never made a rear lip for the Z bumper, only the base. In that case, you need the IF rear or an 03+ LS Sport rear and IF sides.

So here is what went on today.
Car getting ready to be beautified.

Found this really funny. Car was parked in my driveway with no front end and it still got a flyer on the window.

Battery tray.

No battery tray.

The poor old 2200.

All taped off.

Flat black engine bay done.

I then got to work on the engine.
This is what it looked like when I started.

This is the front cover on it, its from a 3.1 since this engine used to be in a 2nd gen.

This nub needs to be ground down to fit the engine mount bracket.

This is after it got ground off.

Engine side mount bracket on the engine.

Metal lower intake gaskets installed.

Lower intake painted and reinstalled.

Fidanza aluminum flywheel installed.

Spec stage 2 clutch.

Thats all for today. I will be doing alot of work this week on the engine and the car.

Yeah we pulled it from a 2nd gen a few weeks ago.
Got a couple small things to get from the wrecker tomorrow. Then I will be painting the engine and putting it all back together. Should have the motor in and possibly running this weekend.
