Depends on if he was smart and only painted the fins on one side and the tanks all the way around....
It probly wont change it that much because you have a 3" core, and the paint MAYBE penitrated a 1/4"

I had mine anadized...... but there was a problem with how the intercooler was constructed, and some "crap" leaked out over the fins. I cleaned most of it up, then did a VERY light coat of semi flat black over it..... looks real nice.
I think SS or SCC did a write up on painting intercoolers, and their tests showed hardly any change in heat transfer....... granted the ceramic paint is going to tend to keep more heat in the intercooler (its designed to STOP the transfer of heat.... lol), you should be fine at your power levels anyway.

yeah i actually read on the can its the high temp paint and according to the can which does not tell a lie it is supposed to transfer heat real well and keep things cooler. the can would never tell a lie. plus im going for the sleeper look
well all except the sound, the intercooler does look a lot like a radiator
and flat black, behind flat black mesh with black charge pipes.
That looks nice, but I thought the whole idea of getting an ic is so you could look even more like a ricer and not put pipes to it...inside joke that goes back a lil ways.

i gotta pull the bumper but i dont even want to think about pulling that thing for the first time. gotta figure out how it comes off this time. the sides will be easy but the middle is going to be interesting. and gotta figure out if i need to trim whats left of that thing of a stock bumper.... there isnt much left at all of it but i dont know if the IC will fit. ill find out soon enough.... i might go tear into it today..... nevermind im too tired...

tool box is actually from christmas still. they saw it, couldnt buy it or pay for it or nothing since it was out of stock well it was back in stock monday and it showed up at my house today.
The chick and i went shopping and we got me a bunch of clothes, all in all it was a good day.
