Well.......
Here it is...
Here is what has been happening...
Friday night, the car looked like this...
But thats ok, becuse later i the night,it looked like this. Dont worry, this is just the mockup motor, I have a supercharged motor that I will be using, its just at my other place right now.
And then....
Today...
Pure sex...
Precision PT61 Ball bearing turbo with a Cartuning 3800 Turbo crossover.
And there it is, the brutal honest truth of whats really happening with my car.
I was pretty worried that the turbo wouldnt fit with this drossover because its made for the Grand Prix turbo kit, but as you can see, it fits like a glove.
@!#$ Im psyched...
lol he spills the beans that the 3.5 is gone. now get 'er running lol..... the more i see these kind of post makes me want more impatient

is that turbo being so close to the frame going to ruin the velocity? also how are your going to fit the filter? while you have that motor out you should clean up the rust in the bay and atleast primer it, if not have it all repainted to make it puuuuurdy! This project is sick though! Nice work so far!
^^read the post. thats a motor being used for mock-up. he has another motor he will be using ... it wont look @!#$ty, i know darrens work

Shoulda paid attention when we spoke, the plan was always to use the 3800,but it was gonna stay supercharged, those plans changed aswell as you see.
And yeah, everything will be cleaned up. This is just the mockup motor right now. Once all the charge pipes, coolant hoses, exhaust and all the little stuff is done, this one comes out, the frame, mounts and pipes go for powdercoating, the turbo and manifold goes for ceramic coating and are getting wrapped. The engine bay will be cleaned and painted at the same time.
I said I can accept it though.
Thats one hell of a motor mount you got there.
The frame and mounts I had built 3 years ago by a guy who had been building hot rods/muscle cars for years.
I was the first ever FWD car in his shop, Sweetness was 2nd when he had his charge pipes and downpipe made there.
Looking good there Darren, I am still not too sure on the cartuning cross-over pipe design though. Lots of heat from the turbo that close to the charge pipe to the TB can't be good, that and how close you are to the front of the car, you can't cut that out either due to the head light. Might be good at the track though if you can remove the light all together and trim out the sheet metal to give the turbo a good shot of incoming air. I guess you are going to run the downpipe just like I did mine, you can run 3.5" without having to cut the car

you will have to get rid of that egr valve though. Another thing to think about would be getting a Stattama intake manifold with the TB relocated to the passangers side, this will help with keeping the charge piping cooler and will also allow you to run a conventional intercooler with inlet and outlets on opposite sides without a lot of large bends.
P.S. It's been pretty hetic here at the shop over the last few weeks but we should have your new harness done in a few weeks.

Yeah. I spoke to Brad yesterday, no worries about the time though, Im heading to Florida for a week and a bit tomorrow anyways.
As for the charge piping, I asked brad to extend the TB wiring because I will be flipping the upper and lower manifold around so the throttle body will be on the pass side, so charge piping will be almost exactly the same as yours.
As for where the turbo is located, we are going to slightly trim the frame rail behind the headlight, run a 90 degree elbow and put the filter at the bottom where the frame and Rad are. Then I can take the headlight and filter/tube out at the track and run a straight shot

Oh, also, could you email me all the specs of that aftercooler/supercharger. I might have a buyer for it. email it to L67Sunfire@hotmail.com.
Thanx alot guys, I cant wait to fire this thing up
