I used to have a 1994 Z34, but then the oil pump shaft went on it. Nobody can tell me why, but a solid cast iron bar, about a 1/2" thick, with a gear on either end just snapped. No drive shaft, no oil. We replaced the engine, and was it ever a lot of work. Just make sure your mechanic, or you, consult an OFFICIAL GM manual when doing the timing belt on those DOHC, cause millimeters will throw everything off. Make sure you get the special tool that aligns the cams propoerly.

Otherwise, awesome work and those engines put out a TON of power. I remember reading somewhere that the engine itself can put out 290 hp, but GM couldn't find a manufacturer to produce a front-engine transmission that could handle that kind of power, so they had to cut the horsepower at the flywheel. I'm sure with the money and effort you are putting into this, you probably have a great transmission already being rebuilt.

coming along nicely, didn't you say it was close to completion in like 3 weeks? It might have been a different post I read that

Well we were busy this weekend any way. Here are a few pics of the car getting the final fit before final putty and paint. The car was supposed to be here today but it is raining so hard that i dont want to put it on a flat deck to get it here...so .....hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow.

We will start with a couple of new toys:

A couple of pics of the door panels in primer. They need another coat of high build before the final paint. That will be next weekend

and the hidden crossovers

A peek at under the hood

And.....a few pics of last nights pre fit and get ready to come to the shop to put the 3.4 beast back in the hole...

and a couple of the hid's hooked up

Almost there guys....not far now, but lots left to do.

The project and car is coming along very nicely! I kind of wished you would paint crush guard black behind the bumper and the mesh because you can see it right there sticking out. I know you can't remove the front bumper along with fenders since they are molded. Are you going to put in bumper corner lights?

I am wondering if can you go any lower on the front with the easystreet bags? I can see that the wheels are 17" which is on the car right now. It should go lower than that.

The engine is looking very neat also it should look awesome with some polished covers!
Keep up your good work!!

Dont worry Phewes the crush bumper will be black . No the front will now come down anymore, but they are 18's on there now..... and thats good...means that i wont kill the front end everywhere i go.

sorry about that Just tryin to stay origanal. as for the color sounds a bit out there, I would hate to see a beautiful car get ruind with a paint job that takes away from the amaszing curves that the J's do so well. I could be compleatly wrong so feel fre to digtal pimp slap me if im wrong. oh and has anyone tryed to photoshop up a finished version for you.
