He said his bars aren't SFI certified but they have been used in SCCA solo competitions thru to the championship round. I think thats how you would word that, I'm not much into the racing stuff.
I'm not trying to ruin any business for RD, just letting people know that you still can get them from Gary.
If anyone would like some more info, email me.

Yes his bars have been used at national levels in corvettes for one that I know of. However in the vetter the bar is damn near 90degrees/straight back back from the top of the seat so they are safe. Because of where our top bolt mounts the bar for our car should only be used for show.
If RD's comes out nice I may think of purchasing one.
After seeing EZ's would it be possible to have changes(in respect to anchoring) based on what we see?

^^ill be sure to post pics once i have it

Ummm.... where in this picture does it look like the bar is near 90 degrees straight back? It's not even close. Those harnesses go pretty straight up from the seat to the bar... In fact, because of the location of the bar relative to the back of the seat, it's at even more of an angle than the one I had in my car. The headrest is practicly resting on the bar where in my car there were several inches in between...

It's up to you to decide which you'd rather win.
^^ it was either a diffrent brand of bar or the aftermarket seats raised the angle up. The one I saw was 90degrees back form the seat.

-Chris
I don't believe those are aftermarket seats.

Guess I'm going to ask Gary for one since I get no replies on this thread. Thanks Wizkid for the information.
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
So why did nobody want mine when I was selling it?

^^^i emailed about it a while back, but never got a response
im still waiting on it from RD Fabs. should be soon
ok guys, i received the bar yesterday, and i must say, im impressed. im at work right now, but ill post pics tonight. i test fit it last night, and the fit is amazing from what i can see. i dont have my rear panels in the car at the moment, but im prolly gonna pull it out and test fit it on the other cav.
to top it off, RD Fabs usually polishes their stuff to an amazing finish, but i told him not to bother with the extra work since its getting painted, and guess what. he didnt put as much effort as he normally would, and the thing is still amazing looking. still polished pretty good, and the welds are some of the cleanest welds ive seen in a while!!
over all, i give the product a 10 out of 10 for what i was looking for. i couldnt be happier.
and ill post pics tonight

I was at the shop the night chris finished it up for ya, he's very maticulus on making sure there was no scratches in that thing before it went out. Ryan double checked it over also to insure quality before we wrapped it up. I loved how it turned out myself, i just wish when it comes time to make the ones for the 4 dr's, we won'thave to mess around with making new measurements/ cuts etc. But thats down the road a bit... Can't wait to see how it looks in your car man.
Sweet, I already saw some pics of your bar test fitted on Chris' car.

It looks really good and Im ordering one for sure.

You can see MOST of the products we sell on
our page. But we are a fabrication shop, so we take on custom projects, misc. polishing of aluminum and stainless steel, etc.
Eazy-
I'm REALLY glad you like it, man. Just be sure that everybody on here knows that the bar we made you is ONLY for show and that you're not using it for ANYTHING other than that. Technically, it's called a "unibody stiffening brace."
The actual harness bar will have 1 or 2 cross posts running to the floor. The new idea we came up with is having a brace on each side, connecting to the bar and down to the stock seat-belt bracket on the floor next to each seat. The original idea was to have a single bar connect to the floor on the hump behind the center console. Neither of these ideas will be "fixed" bars--they'll be adjustable for fitment/angles.
^^^at some point i may need a brace or 2, but for now, this was all i was looking for. man is it a sweet piece of craftsmanship!!!!
RIP Saint ........ JBO
pictures!!!!! please.
I need to know if i'm sending them money to get one made with the bracing

-Chris
i want pics....... i'm in dire need of someplace to atach a seatbelt.......
i have the rear completly stiped, and if pics and mesurments are needed, i can do so.....
If someone can make one that would be strong enough to withstand a crash (god-forbid), and be at the right angles........
I dunno if this would help, but there are perfect mounting holes where the rear factory seatbelt ataches, if a suport brace is needed..........
Between those two, the top bolts of the factory front seatbelts, and the bottom bolts of the factory seatbelt, there could be a complete bolt-in, and no welding required, AND be safe for the road, and have would meet SCCA guidelines

Sorry it took so long to get pictures up, guys. I didn't want to steal Eazy's "thunder" on this one, but keeping customers happy is my job, sooo...
****In the pictures below, PLEASE remember that this was a custom fab for Eazy for SHOW ONLY. He didn't want support braces and he didn't want it polished, so it's only in scotch-brited form which is why it looks so rough.
We're making these bars out of stainless steel
piping, whereas we normally use stainless steel tubing for our intakes, exhausts, etc. The piping is a little heavier, it's a little harder to polish, but it's extremely strong. We're talking about people's lives here, so I'm not taking any chances.
Below the pictures of our bar is what the actual hardbar will look like. The (2) cross beams will connect at the lower seat-belt bolt to the side of the driver and passenger seats. This particular bar will require NO drilling to fit. It will be a complete bolt-in. The vertical support bars will be adjustable to guarantee fit and the entire thing will be sold polished unless you'd rather have it not. It will also have the "retainer" loops on either side to keep your harnesses from sliding out.
The bar I just described above (with 2 vertical support braces) will go for $235.00 before shipping. We can also do the same bar but with (1) support brace that you will need to bolt down behind your center console. Still adjustable, but not AS good a design as the 2-bar. That setup will go for $185.00 before shipping.

I'm sure they will. They are a custom shop.
Wide Body Progress
We will without a doubt. Once we take the time to fabricate something, we keep the measurements and sell it forever. Whenever you're ready, bud!
