I'm looking to get two tires (Hoosier RS303 possibly?) and two either 13 or 14 inch wheels to mount them on. This would be strictly for the track. I was curious if anyone knew the widest tire I could fit on the car even if they rub a little bit while turning because it will only be for the track (minimal turning). Thank you.
235 would be semi safe street and 245 would be my max bet. Let the experts help!

Stock... and loving every minute of it.
Thanks, yeah I think I'm going to go to a tire place tomorrow just to see what they say, but who knows. Anyone else? Whats a good wheel to fit that tire on?
Why do you want the widest that will fit? Bigger isn't always better, I have said before you want to use the smallest tire you can and still hook. I am running 215/60/14 BFG drags on 14" steelies. They are about 1" shorter than stock but a little wider. You have any more info on the hoosier? I have never used them before. Most on here use the bfg or the nitto drags.

id hafta agree
you dont want a massive tire that takes more effort to spin
you want something with better traction AND can be spun by your motor without any extra effort which would defeat the purpose of using a drag tire

Unless he built himself the 1000+ HP eco.
Ok thanks for the advice guys. So what size do you think would be appropriate for 15-17psi of boost (300+whp)? I see what you're saying about not wanting the largest though.
I run a 205/50/14 BFG and have gotten those down to 1.9 and 2.0 60ft consistently. They are shorter than factory though...I would try to find something in a 215 or 225 as close to the stock height as possible. Shoot me an email and I can get you some prices on the BFGs if that's what you decide on using.

Ok thanks hypsy, I might hit you up about those BFGs. Where can I get cheap 14 inch wheels? or where did you guys get yours? Thanks again
I used the factory 14 inch steelies. I have a spare set of 14 inch alums in anyone wants to buy them off me.

I bought mine from the org, check the classifieds. Hypsy, I thought you were run the 215/60/14's? I paid $213 shipped for my tires from tirerack.
