Yeah my egos so big that I have to say that someones installer who I've never met sucks. That makes a lot of sense jackass. If your only gonna post in a thread that I do to start a fight then be a man and bring it to me IN PERSON.
Problems with your statements:
1- "go back to where ever you normally hide and STFU."
Where is this place you are claiming that I normally hide? Last I checked, I am always participating and at almost every major J-body event.
2- "Yeah my egos so big that I have to say that someones installer who I've never met sucks"
How else does your claim of mis-installation translate?
Were you commending him on a job well done somehow by that statement?
3-"If your only gonna post in a thread that I do to start a fight then be a man and bring it to me IN PERSON"
Is this some kind of challenge? Its not very hard to accept if it is since I go to most shows/meets.
But based on meeting you in the past, you come off somewhat mentally retarded, and I don't think I should really have confrontations with the handicapped.

John's troubles were because the pressure plate bolts were backing out. Thread lock cured that.

heard about and seen far to many things gone wrong with their products-especially in the last 4 months just on THIS website.
Really??? Examples please???
shifted had problems with 2 clutches iirc, paul tjepkes had problems with his flywheel... didnt even YOU have trouble with it wanting to drive while the clutch was in? i remember reading about another guy with the same problem.
spyhunter with the beast turbo n-body has been having troubles to.
i know theres others, just cant remember at this time.
Ive also had problems with my spec clutch. I helped install both of Ron's clutches and both times we used loctite on the bolts going into the flywheel for the pressure plate as well as the bolts holding the flywheel to the crank.
Ive decided once my Stg 3 goes to @!#$ i will be finding another company.
Oh and BTW Spec would not help me in any way with that clutch.
^^^ what did spec say about you clutch/ why did they not cover it.
To be honest i dont remeber the exact reason they did not cover it as it was almost 2 years ago. I just know i was pissed because the clutch had less then 3k miles on it. and that was according to what the previous owner of the car told me.
On a side note the previous owner changeforabutton did help me out with getting a new clutch being that it lasted 1 week. So in my books he is a great guy even tho i barely knew him.
Yep, really like LUK clutch's..................

Yes I made a post about possible Spec stage 2 issues. My issues were related to the pressure plate bolts backing out (which could be eroor on install, could maybe be the bolts, but I doubt it).
Spyhunter issues is he is pushing more tq than the clutch he is running is designed to take. That is not the products fault. Not sure who Paul is and what his issues were.

ill stick with my centerforce.
I've heard of Spec clutch failures over on V6Z24.com as well... almost nobody over there with a serious build will run one anymore, they all seemed to head over to the Bully camp after several people had problems and Spec wouldn't take care of them....
Now, on the flipside, I've rode in DaFlyinSkwirl's car with the infamous PJ at the wheel, and even with him beating the living hell out of that car on a daily basis with the Spec Stage 3 and fidanza flywheel, he's had no issues and it grabs like a mother even with 7500 rpm shift points... So, I guess Spec might be a 50/50 shot....

I've heard of centerforce having issues of their own as well... but you see, thats how these reputation things get started... one person has a problem, than it gets carried on through hearsay. I'm interested to hear what Spec has to say about this case though, to the OP- have you called yet?
And Hypsy and Protomec.... for the love of god, if i wanted to see two guys comparing their penis size via the internet, i'd just... well... come to think of it, i'd kill myself... just let it go boys....

I've personally seen more good than bad out of SPEC. For me it's been like 75/25 good to bad. Suppose it depends on the car and stage too.
Come to think of it...I haven't seen anyone have a problem other than that like John's on a Stage 3 or higher SPEC....Weirdness.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

I know but from what I've seen here lately it seems like the Stage 2 is the one with the problems. I don't see any reports of issues with Stage 3 or 3+ clutches from them, unless I missed some.

I've gone through 3 total Stage 3 SPEC clutches, all pissed themselves prior to or shortly after break in.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
I have installed 3 spec clutches (4 but the one has not been driving yet) on J's. 1 stage 3 on a isuzu still going (but I did get a chance to observe the clutch after 2 years of use, seems as if the life on the stage 3 is only about 30k). 1 stage 2 on a isuzu car, still running strong. My stage 2 on my getrag as of now going great with only my one problem which appears to be my fault.
I have heard people with other types of cars having issues with Spec clutches. When I have emailed Spec about my problems they got back with me, and offered to help me get a new TOB at cost (because that is a GM part and goes under GM warranty).

Ythe only one I could think of with issues that might have had a Stage 3. LOL. Wasn't sure if you had the 2 or 3 though.
