Not trying to start anything but i thought that in the beginning it was said that this car was practically a "race" car since the bumpers were cut off and the interior was fully gutted i would love to feel that thing catapult down the ole 1320 i need to hit the lottery lol good work Mike

Yeah I don't have traction issues when I have heat in the front tires... 255 R-S3s hook the road even on high boost... if this wasn't true then why would I race street bikes? On the... you guessed it... STREET... if it is "unstreetable" then it would lose to street cars.... but guess what... it has yet to lose to something with 4 wheels... and the car hits 170 with ease.... fun facts

To Erik I'll be dd'ing a hopeful 400+ car with ease. But I'm not stupid enough to street race it.

This race car will be nice until it gets totaled and possibly kills someone else on the road in the process.

And pair that with this...

Dropped on stock struts....Have fun with that 170 on the street...

big balls would be going that fast in the 1/4. doing that on the freeway is only known as stupidity.

And he did the work himself.

So I'll give props to AMMFAB for building it.

I'll give props to Aaron for having the $$ to build it.

Either way, NICE CAR MAN!!!

Lol leave it to jbo to find any minute flaw (legitimate or not) in such an awesome build. Who cares if the interior is gutted or not? How does that affect the accomplishment at hand?

I can kind of understand where the man is coming from with resepct to getting overly involved on the forums. Some people don't need an online community to suck their d!ck to take satisfaction in what they've accomplished.

well like i said in the other post congrats on the #s ( after seeing the dyno graph ) but i bet this car is easily a 12.80s car but we shall never know since their is no track in its future..... i get the fact its his DD but still all that power and not at least one track visit seems like a waste to me

F the track. Going all out to break something for one pass and a piece of paper saying it did it once. Have fun on the street. Go a thousand miles an hour with one finger hangin' out the window to the....haters with 160 hp 4dr cavies. I'm just saying. Everybody wants differnt things from their car. There is no right or wrong answer. Good @!#$ to both the builder and the financer. Come to md I wanna ride, on the street. I have a helmet. Lol

I don't understand...are you taking him literally? Some people have no desire to run the quarter. I guarantee you if i get behind a 500+whp cav at the track it'd be a 13 second car if i'm lucky. What the hell does that prove? It certainly says nothing about the car. It's funny there seem to be some for which 519whp is not enough, he has to race it too? I totally see nate's point - why break stuff sooner than you have to? If he's happy with the build and driving it on the street, then why this undertone that it's so "useless" or "worthless" if he doesn't track it?

It just goes to re-enforce the point he's made about not posting here often. It's not like everyone has to cup his balls over it, but there's no call for questioning or bashing his goals and direction with the car. It's not like there's no evidence out there to approximate where the car would finish in the quarter - it's been done by Adam Hahn, Fetter, and many others. It's been done by people who can drive professionally

Yes i figured that, which is why i asked if you took him literally. I think in his own way, Nate is saying eff you to those who are not pleased with the results and demand track times. Aaron has nothing to prove to anyone on the track or otherwise. Track times = driver + car + about a million other conditions, Dyno = car with the driver out of the equation. Yes dynos are VERY relative, but they do take that one BIG variable out of the picture. And the car is no less fast because he doesn't track it.

^^LOL!! Don't get me wrong, triple digit speeds in a jbody on the street is pretty crazy. Just sayin, not wanting to run the quarter doesn't make the car useless, and people saying otherwise might want to CT for a brain tumor.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record i'm gonna shut up now lol.

yeah, even aside from the street racing, (which honestly, is it like a macho trip that you get from pulling up to a red light in a completely stripped cavalier to race some high schooler?) why would you want to roll around town in a 500 hp gutted cavalier? i stand by my original point, a 500 whp gutted cavalier is a useless street car. unless you like streetracing and looking like a tool cuz ur cavalier is mad fast. ur probly impressing alot of the people you race right?

so have fun in the noisy, rattletrap, albeit fast cavalier.

i'll enjoy my quiet, comfortable, still has a stereo, and can drive through snow (with traction!) cavalier. your 500whp daily driver cavalier is going to grow boring or annoying or both to you very fast. i guarantee it. too bad too, would have made a hell of an actual race car.

but, i'll leave you be now. nutswingers swing away!

they die, but id rather have paramedics treat me for getting in a wreck in a contained enviroment than fly through traffic killing god knows who else. I guess once you lose a few friends to street racing, you will change your tune... i sure did. call it an eye opening experience...

the only tune that i'll ever need to change is the one where it makes my car faster.
