Stock injector question

Sticky FAQ says stock injectors are good up to about 6psi. I plan on running a 5 psi spring, but does anyone know what the duty cycle would be on 5 psi with the factory injectors on a 2.2 ohv?

Bigger Injectors (if you plan to run over 6lbs of boost)

these stickys need some serious revision.

the injectors aren't big enough for any boost, period. they need to be upgraded right off the bat.

in that parts list, they should put duct tape and bubblegum too.

Then what is the factory duty cycle on these injectors? Already pushing 80%?

Agreed with PJ. That is my list from when I was researching turbo kit's.... after about 5 years of experience I can say that the "sticky" needs heavy editing.. I wish I could make the edits.

With that said - stock injectors took me to about 3-4 psi on a moderately large turbo before they clipped. That's not much at all, and OHV injectors are smaller.

You'll need some bigger injectors right off the bat.... depending on the year of OHV, this may be difficult.

depending on the year? I have a 97. I planned on using some ford red tops that were laying around. And picking up a fmu and afpr. I should be fine according to what i read searching on here. After coming from the dsm and honda scene. There are ALOT more boosted jbodies than i ever expected to see. Im almost looking forward to see if this car out does my honda
