Vortech Supercharger on 2.2L Ecotec

Anybody have any advice for me. I am planning to install an RSM supercharger kit into my 2003 Cavalier 5 speed and am wondering if there is any other mods i should do prior to installation or with installation? Should i install bigger injectors or will stock be fine? Should i change my oil more regularly or put in a thicker oil? I am only running about 6 psi of boost. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Did you already buy the kit? Did you realize the negative reviews of RSM's kit? If so, why did you get it?

get HPTuners. their "tune" is complete BS. You need larger injectors a wideband and someone to tune it.

Your going to have problems with a leaking seal. If your in canada and can return it do so and then call up Hahn Racecraft for their turbo system you'll be much happier.

The system does work, but because of how everything mounts and the housing you will get oil leaks out of the housing. Don't expect much more than 180hp at the wheels unless your tuning it.

Are there any remidies for the leaky seal? Also are different pullies avalible to swap on? This kit has been a thought in the back on my mind, since you could run a FMIC with the right charge pipe routing.

I have the Vortech Supercharger kit on my 02 Ecotec. I have had no issues with this kit whatsoever. I run the FMU unit RSM provided with the kit and I have proper air fuel ratios under boost. There are no different pulleys currently available to swap on (unless you can find one from the old stage 2 kits AND you have a manual transmission). The stock 34 inch belt will yield 5 psi max. A 33.5 inch belt will yield 6psi and, if you can fit it, a 33 inch belt will yield 7psi. Anything over 5psi would require more than just an FMU for proper air/fuel. Though you can make a significant amount of power over stock with this kit, it is extremely limited. The GM Charger or a Hahn Kit will allow you to make much more power. As for the oil leak, this seems to be an issue with some kits but not others. If you search hard enough there are a few posts that explain how others remedied the leak.

So explain how you can run a turbo car w/ an fmu up to I dunno 15psi, and maintain pretty good afr's even tho they are inconsistant and slightly rich, you still have the fuel on fmu tuning alone to run more than that. Don't argue this point, I've done it, and ran it for a long time. Up until last october as a matter of fact, and I currently still have the fmu w/ hpt to help fine tune the afr's a lil bit more.

Form what I have read in the FAQs. I was under the impression that running a Fuel Management Unit (especially a non-adjustable one like mine) was dangerous for higher boost applications when running an otherwise completely stock fuel system. I was lead to believe the stock injectors and the stock pump could not compensate for increased fuel needs beyond a certain point and that the overly increased pressure may be detrimental to both the stock injectors and the stock pump. I thought it was considered a must to at least upgrade to larger injectors with either an FPR, or an adjustable FMU that can also adjust base fuel pressure, and/or use the PCM to compensate for the larger injectors when out of boost. Perhaps you misunderstood what I was trying to say or perhaps I am in the wrong. If so I apologize for spreading mis-information.

I made 185whp prior to even having HP tuners or properly sized injectors with no FMU, you can make over 200whp if you know what your doing

what kind of injectors would you recomend for this setup? should i be looking at getting a bigger fuel pump? if so what should i go with? I hear storys that this system could run off stock computer without being tuned any truth to this?

Fuel Injectors
