How come knowbody ever talks about. the dodge neon's turbo 2.4 and like swapping it into a cavvy?
...because we don't drive Dodges?
Buy a cheap ass first gen Neon to do an SRT swap, why a j-body when you can do what's been done for years?
Be a pretty big @!#$ waste to put a Dodge 4cyl. into my GM body regardless if it's turbo or not in my opinion.
oh ok. don't fart in your panties!

The money it would cost to swap in a SRT 4 platform to work on a jbody would exceed the cost of building a nicely built LD9 or Eco cavy that can perform pretty much the same if done properly.

But the A853 is half Mitsubishi. Daimler and Mitsu have been in bed together for about the past 20 years... Brad's statement made sense to me I guess.
Either way, SRT-4's simply can't out-rev a properly prepped LD9 or a Quad4 in stock trim. The engine is far too overexhaulted for its own good and makes ignorant douches out of many of it's owners. The only reason they can make so much power out of the stock long block, is because they have 8:1 compression from the factory, so high boost pressure is an option for them.

Those are the precious Brian Crower STAGE 3 cams. Now how do those compare to the stock HO cams? (forget the W41's, HG2's or Mantapart cams). hmmmmmm........

I don't know why, but nobody does them. They are both 2.4's so they swap no problem.

Why not just drop a porsche engine in?
Might as well be asking that. GM has standards for their cars just as every other car manufacturer does (engine mounts, computer setups, etc.). None of them are inter-compatible unless the companies are working together (more recent Saabs and GMs, Dodge and Mitsubishis for example) and even then it is only certain models.

Yes, it's a Chrysler long block, but the turbo system was designed by mitsu.

man I just did one of those swap putting an srt motor into a 2000 neon. IT SUCKS thank good it was not my car. I was just helping a buddy. lots of parts had to be swapped or changed. Like making the clutch from a cable system to a hydraulic system. that was a nightmare. But it runs and dynoed at 385hp to the wheels on pump gas
