I'm hoping that's all stainless, but is there any plans to paint it? Unless its a specific type of stainless it'll still rust up in a hurry.
umm , read

he said its chrome molly tubing
looks good adam , what times are you shooting for this year

What do you mean by NASCAR? I don't think its possible to tuck that cage in any tighter. A cage is a cage, and what I have there is bare minimum for the 135 MPH/9.99 NHRA rule so I don't know what else could have been done to make it not so "NASCAR"

Racing Seat ?
Come to the GM Tuner Bash in Ohio this year and you can see it tear up the track (Not as much as you silly street tire cars. Gimme back my rubber!

). I forgot to mention that the seat will have to be moved or replaced by a racing seat. If anyone has some good suggestions for seats that are a bit lower and skinnier than the stock seats, hook a brother up!
We plan on painting it, but we aren't sure how to get paint on the cage with the windshield in the way...any ideas?
Maybe Byron will let you ride along for a pass if you can make it out in late June PJ. Or maybe Kilkare will at the Tuner Bash. I know, I could charge $10 a pop for a ride and donate it to next years GM Bash!

Adam i didnt mean any disrespect i was just giving you a hard time because it just kind of reminded me of NASCAR with the whole window net.
Nah, no hard feelings. I misunderstood, but now I got the sarcasm...haha. I agree though, I wish I didn't have to get so radical...

Too many people talk a big hype about the plans or goals for their cars and never follow through. Too many cars come a long way and then stop short of their goals for various reasons. I'm glad to see this car still making progress, good luck this year.

yeah i just hope i dont end up being one of those people.... i mean damn all i want is a 400hp ohv is that to much to ask LOL
Ah yes, I forgot to mention our goal. We had a Neon setup much like the Sunfire back in the day and it ran 10.55 so I suppose that is our goal...10.54 OR BUST!!!

why the net, I mean yeah its cool but is there a point to it.
If I were you, Id drop the net spray the cage black and call it a. day I love that your trying to keep it stock looking.

i dont think your painting it without taking the windshield out....which shouldnt be that big of a deal since the glass people can come to your place and do it.
adam find someone in your area that has an electrostatic paint system its like powder coat but with a water based paint, thats the only way you'll be able to do it without pulling the glass, as far as the seats go i just changed my mounting on my sparcos to get them lower, bought some universal sparco seat sliders then used some 1" square and made the mounting like a honda, drilled pressed nut inserts in and welded them, heres a pic

R.I.P. Brian Klocke, you will never be forgotten
Looks awesome adam. I like the idea for rides...but your line will be long as hell, i'd bump it to 20-30 just to save your car lol
looking forward to seeing this monster
Looking really good man, don't forget to bolt the plates down through the floor.

x2 on the electrostatic. ive seen it done, its very possible to do it without pulling the glass, just its going to take a lot more prep work vs just a quick tape and spray.
