will either of these kits fit on my 1997 sunfire gt LD9 direct bolt on or minimal fab??

and is it possible to swap the pulley and injectors to throw down like 10psi boost?

The only problems you will have is what is outlined in the sticky at the top of this page. There is no difference in the kit. It is the exact same no matter which one you buy it through.

The answer to your second question is yes if you have your computer tuned with hpt.

Why don't you just look at the FAQ at the top of this forum? It goes through everything...

so if i buy a 98 z24 drop the same motor with lower miles in it this kit will work without a reflash. because i dont want to mess around with all that stuff its way to confusing. I just wanna drop the motor in and install the supercharger and drive the car.

so.... supercharger kit from pace performance
smaller pulley,
bigger injectors,
venom fuel rail,
RK sport 4 into 1 header,
RK sport cold air intake
in line fuel pump,
AEM fuel pressure regulator,
HP tuners on my 1997 ecu,
AEM wide band fuel/air gauge.

Anything else needed to run 10psi?
What size injectors?

If you use a smaller pulley on the m45 alcohol injection is a must or your IAT's will be sky high which will lead to a ton of other problems. You are going to need a smaller belt than comes with the kit to run a smaller pulley. I do not see why you NEED an inline fuel pump or a fuel pressure regulator.

regardless of engine year you'll need some kind of tuning for boost. if you already have a z, why would you swap to the same engine?

RKSport Cold Air Intake = Waste of money, you'll have to cut it up to get it to work, and its not functionally any better than a $30 ebay intake.
Venom Fuel Rail = Waste of money, unless you want looks, the stock rail flows just fine well over any hp you can dream of with the s/c

I'm not sure if the AEM FPR will even fit on our rails...

you can't use HPT to make a gm M45 push 10lbs of boost. the max your going to get is 6-7 lbs

so i have been lookin at these alky injection kits and was wondering how long does a 3quart system run? Is that enough for those long high speed freeway runs? Enough for a whole days worth of driving? Should i go with a 1.5gal trunk mount system?
thanks

Hey jake armour, If you want 10 psi you have to go with a turbo or larger s/c ( and custom intake manifold)

your going to have so much money in this s/c set-up all for 6-7 psi. Then the price of methyl alcohol

you use the free energy from the exhaust to power a turbo and intercool it. thats my .02 cents

but then again the down low instant power from a s/c is nice

ya i really wanted to turbo but damn its so much work. i should be able to squeeze out 10psi with a smaller s/c pulley.

No.

If you bore it out you might even see less psi. although it will flow better.

the smaller pulley will help it reach it's max psi quicker. And maybe give you another 1 psi

you want 10 psi you have to go turbo, m62, m90, and no the 2.4 cobalt is an ecotec engine differant exhaust manifold.

Tell you what... Why don't you drive that "built 400sbc" to STL (if it can make it that far on the highway/reliable) and we will talk... You might wanna simmer down... You may also want to do some research before you go calling people out... And honestly, what the hell does an 85 short bed have to do with this site?!? You have no idea of the cars I build or have built in the past... You wanna pathetic "grudge match", come the the Bash and you can show me your mad skills... Until then, stop being a tool and have a nice day....

Hp tuners is all you need...oh and the knowledge of what you are doing when using HPT or someone who is willing to help you or tune it for you. Having said that you might not want to piss off the few people on here who are very familar with HPT and tuning in general. Case in point ImPhat0260/Cavattack2000
