it may interest you to know that a Eaton TVS blower is currently in development for the cobaltss/redlines, should be a direct swap
this would unlock some serious potential in supercharged applications
Enjoy!

Interesting. I wonder how much power this blower is gonna make.

350 to 400whp

yet another reason NOT to go w/ the gm s/c reflash - cannot tune for this beast!
BTW, if this thing really puts 350 to the wheels, you're totally in LS2 territory - most s/c dyno curves I've seen for eco motors have a broad tq curve - it'll hit like a V8! From there it's just a simple arguement of power:weight ratio

now if only they can engrave L61 into it as opposed to LSJ
harrop has a 2300 s/c that was put a LSx powered solstice , it made over 1000whp , and was detuned to just over 800whp , the guy was still using the stock tires the solstice came with
guess its time to get another pcm , and put the stock tune in it
i would love to have that, providing i didnt have to buy the m62 to get all the parts to hook the damn thing up
hop on in i've got a J
whats the benefits of this and/or TVS?

I didnt read the WHOLE cobaltss.net post, but if i understand it correctly, its basically just a higher flowing unit, capable of higher flow and therefore more hp per psi with less increase in IAT's
So is this a new supercharger for our vehicles?
think twin screw s/c like a kenny bell or whipple , but more efficient

Well, its not a kit, but its being toted as a bolt on replacement for the M62 unit on the LSJ...so one would think it would also bolt on to a GMPP equiped eco cav
That would be crazy. I bet its around 4,000 grand huh?

4 grand **
Sorry guys didnt see where it said somewhere around $2,250
ok thats cool so its just more efficent. makes sense. curious to see how much an improvement it actually is.

The TVS is basically a 6th generation Eaton blower, they were announced at Sema last year but haven't made the way into production vehicles just yet. The 5th generation M62 is what is in the LSJ and L61 kits. This is a helical roots type supercharger. The TVS is a high helix type supercharger. Basically has something to do with the internals. As far as the benefits, its more boost at less rpms, with less heat, as well as less parasitic loss in a smaller package. The efficiency is nearly that of a turbo without any of the negatives. First production car to use one is the new 09 ZR1 vette. So you can be assured its a high performance item
This company Harrop is using a 1.32L TVS for the LSJ. Thats basically an M90 as far as blower displacement. Price is around 2200. As far as boost, from whats being said its more of a matter of if the engine itself can handle it, theres a pretty high potential with this. Castings for the prototype are being made right now, working unit for testing by prob end of this month, I would think they would be available for the public by May or June, just in time for the bash!

is there a possibility they would sell this charger with the normal kit, substituted for the m62?
hop on in i've got a J
of course not, it's a upgrade. finally maybe more ss s/c guys will be hitting 12's because for some reason theres only a handful thats actually hit 12's
Too bad HPT is a POOPY alternative for fuel correction in boosted applications when running that much boost. It can be done but not done right with the inaccuracy of manipulating the voltage input of a 1bar map. This supercharger is AWESOME but without a good tuning source for us Js its really not gonna get everything possible from it for the price. No way to fit another 4 injectors in there with the M62 let alone the TVS for an independent fuel supply. Very cool regardless.
