So if i got the 60 trim compressor wheel on the garrett t3 turbo would it be the same as the super 60 for $60 less?
thanks
The Super 60 is closer to a 65 trim. Why they call it Super 60, I don't know. The two wheels have the same outlet diameter, but the input diameter of the Super 60 is a tad larger.
60 trim = (1.83mm^2) / (2.367mm^2) x 100 = 59.8
Super 60 trim = (1.90mm^2) / (2.367mm^2) x 100 = 64.4

damn...the millimeter units should be inches...grr

so there wont be much of a noticable bifference between power between the 2 then?
here are compressor maps
60 trim
Super 60
As you can see, the Super 60 is a bit more efficient in the higher air flow range. If you plan on running higher boost, then go with the Super 60.
I know a few people with the Super 60, and they seem quite happy with it.

Thanks for that info. I'm trying to learn all the different specs of turbos and that helped with one thing I was wondering.
ok thanks im looking to run between 14-17psi fully built just looking at my options so is that a dicent price for a rebuilt turbo?
Im gona be using a t3 super .60, I only want around 7psi though. For the amount of boost you want Id go with something bigger and bb, like a gt series.
the thing is there really isnt that much room for anything bigger than the super 60 in the 2200
